Just a note to thank coolswing for the game. Extremely enjoyable game where he was always in front, due to some excellent play with the starters.

and thanks Sarge for organising this event, great fun and I look forward to following the progress of the rest of the competition and hopefully taking part again, the next time around.

Cheers and good luck to all.

    Sarge

Just been looking at the draw etc and noticed something that's not quite right.  After the group stages you have, for example, Winner of A v Runner-Up of B (match 1) and Winner of B v Runner-Up of A (match 2).  Fine so far.  But then you have Winner of match 1 v Winner of match 2, so potentially players from the same group could be playing each other again.  What should happen is that the two players from the same group should not meet until the final in case they were the two best players. So, it should be W1 v RU8, W2 v RU7, W3 v RU6, etc.  I know it's too late for this one, but something to consider for next time.

Finally ,just spotted that in the Master/Tour Master bracket you are missing Winner of Group E v Runner-Up of Group F in first knockout stage.

    Match over with tony48 - tony48 wins!

Man, what a hell of a match! Tony is a putter GOD! I played with all I had to beat him but was never up to the challenge. He finished the 10 holes even while I made +1.

    Notable shots:

    - Tony sunk a jawdropping 19fter at #3.

    - Then, on #4, made a killing approach 1ft from the hole.

    - On #7 I lipped out

    - On 9 both missed the GIR and then the hole by less than 1ft

    - On the whole match, each of us missed 3 putts by less than 1ft

    - On Extra Hole, he made another killing approach to finish things off.

By the way Tony is a very nice guy and, again, I hope to play him again soon!

Just finished my first round match with Wayne67 ... lots of fun en route to a 1UP win.

I think we both finished under par ... pretty decent since neither of us has used the starters for a long time.

Played first and second game with woodsy747.

In the first game, I was 3 up tru 4 with birdies on 1 (17ft), 2 (6ft) and 3 (5ft). Woodsy made a birdie on 1 too, but had a bogey on 4. He then forfeited this match on the 5th hole, here's the card.

The second match was pretty tight. I had an early lead being 2 up tru 3 after birdies on 2 (1.9ft) and 3 (16ft). Woodsy forgot it was a 30 meter scale so gave too much power at his 6ft birdie attempt on 3. Holes 4 to 6 were halved with pars. On 7, Woodsy almost holed his eagle flop leaving a tap in birdie, while I couldn't make my 13ft putt. I was 1up at that point and the last two holes would be halved with pars. Here's the card.
