    For me it's congressional, it just has everything to challenge you , bendy putts , water that plays with your mind.

    It has uphill shots that need management knowing you need to hit short / right /left

    to get a good putt.

    For me this is a beauty .

    And don't forget the tee shot on # 4 over the tree and the approach over the trees if the wind is left to right.

    Wolf Creek

    Thanks for a pleasant reminder. I used to play it a bunch, for years, but I don't think I've played it for well over a year. In fact I still have a saved replay of an Ace at 9 which allowed me to break 40'. I haven't checked any scores of late but imagine with our newer balls and irons that 40' is no longer a big deal, but it once was.

    Oh # 9 @ Wolf Creek is still a big deal. A slight miss hit and its wet.

    Merion is my favorite course. It is the most beautiful course on wgt (well, after Pebble Beach) and forces you use good course management and hit a wide variety of shots to score well. Low scores are possible but a small mistake can put you in big trouble quickly. Some of the greens are infamous (Merion #5 is the standard for 'outrageous' greens) but they can be managed, mostly by staying below the hole.

    I personally think that wgt did their best work in laying out this course. The yardage given is mostly accurate in terms of the distance resulting from a shot matching the reported distance to the hole. This course has trees, tough rough, brush, dirt, streams and significant elevation change. About the only element missing here is a lake.

    If you can learn to appreciate the beauty and challenge of Merion, she will reward you with a rich golfing experience.

    OK, we did the most hated course, which one do you love ?

    Without a doubt it is THE Old Course...a chance to play it brought me to this site...and I still love it.

    I love quite few of what we have. Merion is one, for sure. I don't play it often. Only when I have the mood of serious focus and concentration. Otherwise I get beaten to a pulp. It is not for a "kill some time" mind set. ;-}

    R.S.G its unpredictable how it will play  a Good T.shot can take a bad bounce and end up in the rough likewise a Bad T.shot can end up good  it kinda evens out really like practiseing this course with starter Balls.

                                                  Just about my Fav.
