    oksymoron:

Edit: Actually, the game doesn't display  the name and yardage of the 3 wood (or is it only me?). If you scroll from a driver it shows the driver's name and distance , and analogically if you scroll from 3 iron. If caddy chooses the wood, the place is blank.

No its not just you, same problem here - good thing that it's a distinctive club as you need to look at the photo displayed. They need to fix this.

Ok here is my take on it,If you have credits to burn buy it, I haven't seen a great deal of difference so far between this one and the 280,Like i said credits in hand  then go ahead,Otherwise if you already own the 280 one then you aren't missing much,:)

    Thats just my first impressions,

Well, my first impressions are that i'm dinging more often, which might suggest that the driver is slower.

To me, it looks interesting and inviting. I have both the G10 & R9 in combination with G10 irons. I rarely use the R9 because I find it sloppy for my desire. The additional accuracy of the R11, coupled with a swing speed that is in concert with all of my my other clubs & can deliver 10 additional yards, is something that will be hard to resist. But, as we all know, the jury is still out.

Second impression is that its easier to Ding being a tad slower,And it does have slight extra yardage  Is it worth upgrading from the 280 R9,,I believe so,

I'm not convinced the new driver is that much better than the 280 R9. The 3 wood however seems much better value. That bit longer always helps plus it seems to land softer on the greens than the Ping i15 Master, 237 yards.

I totally agree with you.....The 3 wood is a big improvement but the Driver is nothing special.  The meter speed is just a little slower than the R9  I'm seeing the high trajectory giving my drives less distance than the R9 in moderate to heavy wind conditions.

I think he thought this was a discussion about the real R11. Had to. He just joined today and hasn't taken a shot. He might have joined just to partake in the discussion like you have to on some message boards.

    LOL-my best guess.  :-)

I've played a few rounds with the R11 driver, 3w and fairway wood and as someone who was quite comfortable with my R9(280), i15 3w and i15 hybrid, I find them a good bit nicer. Not because of the improved performance, but because of the increased consistency. A slower meter combined with an extra half ball of forgiveness higher precision AND more distance make them more consistent and a welcome fit in my bag. 3w graphic is buggy, but that's known and should be fixed ASAP, so that is moot as a careful player can still use it effectively until fixed. For those upset about just now buying the R9 (280) prior to the release of this set of woods, I don't understand why you'd be upset. The xp difference between level 80 and level 88 is considerable. Only those that play MANY full rounds or tournament rounds each day will be able to gain those 8 levels in less than a few weeks at the very least. A couple months+ is more likely accurate. So, if you're level 86 and just now decided to buy the R9(280), that's on you. Don't complain to WGT that you simply made a bad decision to wait.
