There are2 Redwood ZB Putters-identical (and Please don't try to refute the fact they are the same) one costs 600 and the other 1380.    WGT. atleast offer us a choice--give some good precision irons at the speed of G10's and the length of i15--you did it with the R11 series--so come on quit "selling us the BS about "2010  Edition" new and improved--when the only thing "new" is the cost

Apples vs Apples = More expensive Apples

Without question they are different and follow typical WGT standards-pay for accuracy at the expense of forgiveness or meter speed.

Agreed YJ.  It's not hard to refute the the claim.  The 2010 Redwood ZB has greater precision and balance, and a faster meter.  I've played with both and the differences are obvious.

As a Legend Lisa, you should understand that WGT releases better versions of the same equipment quite frequently.  Example:

o TM R9: The earlier model goes 275 yrds, the later 280 yrds and has a slightly faster meter

The list goes on and on.  Yes, the differences are subtle.  However, as is true in life, the best offered costs more.  I'm quite sure that this year's Prada line offers nothing new functionally yet costs more than last years line; you'd purchase that without complaint.

I would say there is a bit of a difference just looking at the details of each, and I'm sure the newer one does play a little better...

..But I can see where Lisa has the right to bring it up in the fact that the newer one (which doesnt add THAT much more difference) is more than DOUBLE the cost of the latter one... I could see it being maybe 30-40% more expensive.. but if youre going to more than double the cost, then I would think the skill set should atleast increase by 30-40%, not 5%.

    Of course she does!

Point being "same club twice the cost"... they're not the same.  Comparing them in the Pro Shop the difference is subtle, but, doesn't measure up to the differences between the two clubs on the course here.

Agreed, the benifits offered by the newer model of the same club should measure up comparibly to the cost increase to a certain degree.  This would contribute to the realism of the Pro Shop in relation the the realism of the game.

This is not a "can of worms" that has not been thoroughly debated before in other threads.  WGT's response - Sales.

Take a look at the Ghost and the Master Redwood. Now there's identical for you but guess what-they're not even close to being the same putter. The same with the Satin 90w and 110w-the oil can finish ones. They're the same as other Satins with different yardages but perform much different.

I find it a bit curious that WGT does this to begin with.

It may only be 1/2 dot but believe me the difference in the 2 is much greater than that. And I was one of the lucky ones who bought it during the 25 % closeout sale in August just before they made the change from selling clubs by tier to selling clubs by level and locking the clubs. I got mine for 1038 credits. At that time I sold my old redwood my rapture driver and iron set and almost made enough from the sales to pay for the putter.
