    Aust10:

I am not a legend and not complaining just asking if u think they are because scores have never been so low and easy in a way to score.

As a Legend and a player that has been here since the beginning, what you are seeing is a natural cycle in this game.  WGT is in a constant fight to keep the game challenging and fun at the same time.  There has been an obvious cycle in the short history of this game... WGT would release a new course or a further back set of tees, and the difficulty level would skyrocket for everyone as the learning curve begins.  Then as players adjust (some faster than others) WGT releases new equipment, either as part of a plan or a response from the community saying that the game is now too hard to be fun.  What you are seeing is the latter end of the learning curve for many players and the added benefit of the highest attribute ball in the games history.

This is not saying that sandbagging is not happening, it still is.  But I think the majority of the low scores are being shot from legitimate accounts of players that take the time to learn the ins and outs of the new changes.

    Just my opinion.  YRMV

Agreed Lee.  As a Legend and a member for a year less than you I have no complaints.  Ok, so the equipment advantage goes to the lower-tiered players.  However, skill is still the  advantage that Legends have.  There are some lower-tiered players who've adapted quite well and are difficult to beat.  That's just not common enough for it to be an issue.

The lower-tiered players will always knock on Legends complaining.  Fact of the matter is they've no clue of the conditions at our level until they've been there.  Again, no complaints on my part.  Of course they've no clue the whooping they'd receive should we play from their tees with their course conditions either.  No contest... Legends would completely dominate due to skill.  Furthermore, when was the last time anyone below TM won an open-tiered tournament?  And, specifically since the change?

Granted, the majority of the complaints are from Legends that woke up one day a Legend due the the change last September and should have been TMs or Masters.  However, if all the jugheads knocking Legends as whole, rather than just the whiner(s), played on from our tees with our greens they may actually understand the basis for the complaints from these players.

The new legitimate player accounts that have taken the time to learn the ins/outs of the game and new challenges are going to be competive at the higher tiers as they advance.  For all we know, the next tibbets, BolloxinBruges, or AvatarLee is already a member and working their way up.

The addition of the Callaway balls is not ruining the game.  If anything, the Callaways have given Legends a more realistic ball that's superiorly controllable to anything else.  With the skill a typical Legend should have in the game the end result is that averages are creeping back down to 60 and below slowly but surely.  Use of the Callaways is certainly contributing to this.

That's all I've got to say about that.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the Callaway balls.  In my opinion, balls don't affect the game enough to say that they give one group a bigger advantage over another.  There are other areas where regulation would be better suited. I have said before, and I will stand by this statement, that any driver over 280 yards should be a Legend only driver. I also believe that any driver of 270+ yards should be Master+ only driver.  Really though...those are the only changes I would make at this time.

That's about as right as a person can get.  I think that most "sandbaggers" stay away from stroke play to begin with...so we generally don't have to worry about them in tourneys and Ready Go's.  If they were to shoot good in these formats, they would be forced up in tier, which is not the goal for them.  I'm coming to realize that they stick more to MPC's.

Back to the OP's statement....the Callaways are not ruining the game.  Scores are simply getting lower because people are getting better at the game.

    Good Golfing

    Spoken like a true Newb!

Your average is 87 and you're still a HACK.  That's indicative of two things... one, you suck at this game and, two, you've no idea of the complexities of the game at the higher tiers.  Furthermore, if you paid attention to some key points made, your response may have actually been on topic instead of painting yourself the idiot.

Try playing some ranked rounds instead of Blitz, which is ALL you've done since joining save 2.   Then maybe, doubtful but maybe, someone will actually give a damn about the excrement you're sputtering.   You've obviously mistaken your ability to post as recess on the playground.

i havent been on here long so i dont know wt u mean by sandbaggers  lo

Then why your earlier comment about moaning legends? Since you are not aware what is was like prior to the changes maybe you should ask before such blunt statements.

Listen, the players who know "how" to use these new balls have a huge advantage no matter the tier. Still scratching my head on someone wanting to have the best equipment AND tee off from the short tees. Cheers, you are really good lol. JB

If it improves theirs with your vast experience you should be crushing them. are you?
