Just curious to know if anyone else seems to have this issue? I have started to use the gi-d balls. my meter is as smooth as silk now since i did some things to my comp. but it seems when i switch to ohhh say the gi2-s or gi3-s balls the meter doesnt seem as smooth. do the faster meter balls travel down the meter smoother? and do the slower meter balls travel down the meter at a less than smooth pace? I am just kinda guessing here but is the trade off of the slower meter balls a less than smoother travel down the meter? or am i just getting use to the faster meter balls?

Tried something for the heck of it. went and played a few holes with the bx-d and  unlimited ball and was able to ding it more often than not, the meter also seemed smooth as silk.

Saw your post Wildcat & it reminded me of a round i played about a week ago, i made the silly error of not stocking up on my usual balls & ran out midway through a round, it then gave me a replacement starter ball which i struggled with for the rest of the round but i did finish it,

I noticed that the metre was nice & smooth with the starter balls but thought nothing of it until i saw your post, interesting.

I think feel screws with the meter. Back when I used tour sd's the meter was extremely smooth, the meter then got progressively worse as I switched to GI2-SD2's and then callaways...

I've believed for a long time that any piece of equipment that slows the meter down also creates meter problems. It is why I use the Tour-SDs with the i15s. I don't know if the meter's smoother but the incidence of skips is greatly reduced and it is easier to get into a tempo. JMO

I use Callaways and have no trouble other than an occasional flutter, maybe once a week usually around 7 to 8 p.m. central time. I,m guessing it is when a lot of players are on line as I also git a lot of time outs.

What yankee says sounds about right though. I have noticed i get into a better rythem with the gi-d or tour gi-sd where as when i use gi2 or gi3 balls the ryhem seems a little off. might try a sleeve of tour sd balls a try and compare notes so to speak.

I don't know that it's so much the rhythm is "off" with the  feel balls. If you use any ball consistently, you SHOULD be able to get the feel for that particular meter speed.

In my experience ( or maybe it's all in my head) , the slower meter balls simply have more of an opportunity for the meter problems just because it takes that extra second to complete your swing.

Tour-SD balls have the same speed as well as 2 dots each for distance AND spin.

The best part---22 cents each!   :-)
