  Hey sting'...see if this is close? You were not a "greaser" and you drove a VW bug/van in High school?.....;D 

  FWIW....I grew up in the Dee-troit area, it was "Muscle cars" only. Man, what an era that was.

  !/2 I was not a greaser but I did not drive anything in high school. But I did drive a '55 Chevy Bel air a year later..Man I wish i still had that car. In the Pristine condition my older brother kept it in and me after it would be worth between $45,000 and $50,000 and even more on a good day.

  One of the biggest mistakes I ever made..Sold my 58 Impala before going into the service in 68..California car, not a spot of rust anywhere..Wish I had it today.

  Hey Gary was it a "shaker" (348ci)? Two runs at the strip and you had to adjust the valves. lol

  My favorite year '55 Chev of the 50's generation. My 2nd car was a '57 w/vette 327/325hp, I think I sold it for $300 bucks.
