Nope, at this point they've already missed the bus. I have asked, and I have asked.
Apparently there is a breakdown between Top Golf and WGT . Too many layers of inefficiencies. We need to do something. I miss my friend.

    Doc

    Edit:

Let me add, "They" need to do something, as I've said all along, elevating Andyson's' status to "Tour Legend" should have been done long ago. The inaction of WGT / Topgolf on this speaks volumes on what they care about us, their customers. I've been in contact with the Mods since we received this unfortunate news, and they've replied every time, but, all they've said is " I've brought it up, but I don't have any additional information". It has been over a month, surely this could have been done by now. I find it incomprehensible that something of this importance to the community, can be ignored by those in position to take action. Respect should be given where it's due, Andyson, had all of ours. WGT / Topgolf ?

+1 to the whole damned lot!

As you correctly point out, respect is earned......

Sorry Opy, this is about principles, and just throwing yet another thread about memories borders on contempt to Andyson and to the community.

I would support an event in his name, perhaps with proceeds to a charity, especially if WGT would match those entrance fees (if we can actually trust WGT to do so) OR have a starter ball comp....so WGT do not benefit from it (I can nearly hear Andyson laughing).

To be honest, I feel WGT has not had any leadership for a long time and no-one is willing or capable of making a decision, unless it is the next naff idea for tee markers and flags.

I've only just learned of this.

Sad news for us all to lose this great bloke.

An abundance of imagination and a generous nature meant that not many in WGT hadnt  sampled or experienced his work and humour.

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!  thanks  him for the graphics he did for us and I will miss him along with many of you all.

RIP Andy, thanks for being so generous with your unique skills and being an all round good bloke.

    WGTShamWow:

    Hey Everyone,

Spoke with the higher ups and we wont be able to host a tournament for Andyson's passing. Based on some past experiences and most players that will participate in the tournament not knowing who Andyson was, it doesn't seem like a fitting way to really pay tribute to who he was. We did start a thread where players can post stories or memories of Andy and this seems like a much better way for the community involved with remembering and paying tribute to this beloved player. For the 19th Hole feature, I have passed this suggestion along to the right people to consider.

    All the Best,
    WGTShamWow

With all due respect Sham, which is more than Andy wold give right now, to create a WGT tournament in Memory of our fellow WGT COMMUNITY LEADER, friend, and a player / community member who made WGT's dull a-s forums come ALIVE with his humor and creativity is absolutely possible, feasible, and EASY.

Dont feed us this nonsense about "past experiences". NAME A COUPLE OF THOSE EXPERIENCES that can even come close to what the community is suggesting. Here, I left these 2 spots for your "past experiences". 1.  __________, 2. __________.

Lets look at the "past experience" of icons tournaments. It is not about players entering a tournament based on who knew andyson and who didn't know andyson. Ya think people entered icons tournament because they knew of icon. NO. Its because the tournament was  PROMOTED BY WGT and every single member in the community read about it. This is what Im talking about. Trust me. WGT promote's a tournament with ALL proceeds going to the National Heart Foundation in MEMORY OF  A FELLOW COMMUNITY MEMBER you will get more players playing in a Memorial Tourn. than in icons silly "super fast greens / heavy winds" tournament.

We're talking about a 1 TIME COMMUNITY WIDE TOURNAMENT that all proceeds would go to the National Heart Foundation in honor of our dear friend andyson and by God, WHO DIDN'T KNOW andyson. andyson was just as well known as icon if not MORE and I use icon as a reference because of the tournaments you - WGT - helped him PROMOTE.

It just gets me sooo frustrated that WGT refuses to even CONSIDER doing something for a COMMUNITY member, and a WGT FORUM ARTIST who was more INVOLVED IN THIS GAME and FORUMS than most any one of us in this post.

I tried my dear friend, I tried. Jeff
