After 4 days of experimentation, here are my specifics:

When going into the playing screen always shows the red exclamation point of new day not played at start of new day.

Scenario 1, play 1 or 2 practice holes, not using pass, and just ending round. Then going to a regular tournament and using pass. Results: Red exclamation point changes to green check mark and days increment after the practice holes even though the round was not completed. No points given of any kind. First round completed gives standard points for the round but no CDP bonus. Verified on Club's "points contributed" page. CDP points are not going there while not showing on the end of round info but regular points are.

Scenario 2, do NOT play any practice holes but go directly to a regular tournament, using pass. Result: Red exclamation point changes to green check mark, consecutive days increments and CDP bonus is included in end of round totals and Club contributions page.

Did 2 of each of these on alternating days with identical results for each scenario.

It appears, at least for me, that the practice hole(s), even though the round isn't completed, is being counted as the first round of the day--which it never was before--and thus is not giving the CDP bonus for the first actual round played.

I have not tried using a pass for those practice holes to see if it then credits the CDP and some number of points for the holes I've played. Might try that tomorrow just to see what happens.

So when is WGT going to fix the dang thing.   I play every day and every 1-2 days I go back to zero.  Or game doesn't even count and it stays at zero.

The days played counter and XP should now be counted on the first stroke of the first round played. I believe this is also the time that will be factored in to when you played(I.E. round is counted when you take your first stroke, not when you finished the round) We have received a few reports regarding Alt Shot rounds not counting for some players for their first round played and days played counter and we are investigating this.

Don't know but this may be a "For What It's Worth" comment and could be tied into your post above. Might be a clue as to what is wrong? I have been playing Tournaments - Stroke Play for 50+ days consecutive now. Yesterday I played Pebble Beach and received my 880 XP as expected. However, every time I have played St Andrews in the past 2 weeks I only receive 475 XP. Just like tonight! Hate to lose 1/2 of my XP points each time I play St Andrews! All the other courses provide the proper 880 XP. Any help?

OBTW: [edit] Just noticed my days played is stuck on 28!

So if I understand this correctly we can no longer have the chance to hit any practice shots before starting our first round? Is there some particular reason to make this unreasonable change? Having it count when you take your first shot rather than on completion, and thus not being able to start until the new day rather than finishing on the new day is also an inconvenience though not at nearly the same level of aggravation, at least for me.

Some players may feel entirely comfortable just going directly out to the course without any warmup but I've not been one of them, either here or in real life. I need a couple practice shots to make sure I've got my timing right and that my internet provider isn't "in a mood" before teeing off on places where competition is taking place.

I assume it also means that we can't just take a couple practice shots and have it give us our bonus points since you don't get points on a round that is cut short. I've had plenty of experience with that when WGT glitches take you out of rounds for no apparent reason and then tell you you have forfeited. So now I've got to either go directly out without any practice or waste an entire practice round of ball hits (very profitable for you, I'm sure!) to get my points.

Not a happy camper if these are really the new rules.

You can't start playing until after the day change? Big deal! Do you want your CDP points or to win a match using 600 credit balls?

i just want the 5,000 points I and my CC lost because of WGT's mess up. I'm back to 880 points a day (plus bonus). The only thing I've lost besides a week's points is the thing saying I've played 150 consecutive days. Something else I can live with.

I fully agree with the analysis and conclusions of John.

It is abnormal that we didn't have the opportunity to practice some warm-up balls without penalty. Already all players have noticed that the practice is expensive, The life of the ball is reduced.

So now we have to use our daily pass on the 1st tournament of the day, there is still no freedom to the player to organize his activities.

This is not putting iron collars that you will encourage the development of the game.

So you are upset because you don't know how to provide all XPs to your CC?

Relax, and take a different view:

If you only play one stroke per CDP day, you will receive full reward for it, no matter if that game is finished or not. Just put in your free CC pass with that game (preferably solo stroke play), and it will get 900+ XPs including the boni.

Your L19 CC, IBIS, doesn't need more, believe me. Me thinks, it doesn't need any, as only the company profits from that race.

No matter what you play next, you will receive your personal XPs for that, too. No change in this, except for a safer way to gain the CDP.

Now, if you know that your last game started before midnight GMT, there's easy remedy: Just play one stroke(!) in any solo game on the new day, practice or ranked, with a free pass, and you've reached your goal. Me thinks that there is an unadverted extra bonus in such play!

You may have to modify your habits slightly, but I'm sure that you are flexible, aren't you?

    WGTShamWow:
The days played counter and XP should now be counted on the first stroke of the first round played.

    Confirmed for ranked stroke play.

Started on the new CDP day.
Both me and my CC received 960 XPs (880 + bonus) on the first stroke. CDP points stayed even when I quit the round after a few strokes, CDP number was raised and the green check mark appeared.

    Minor grief:
There's still the message "Your pass will not earn CC XPs if you quit now", both on "save and quit" (where it has been wrong all the time), and on "back to menu" (where it has become obsolete now).
