Palmer was the epitome of class and a true ambassador for the game.

Today we have Tiger Woods who bops anything in a skirt and avoids fans like the plague; Phil Mickelson who needs even more money through insider trading; Sergio Garcia who spits in golf holes when he misses a putt ...and John Daly who wears clown pants and gets thrown out of Hooters bars (that's even possible?).

All made more just in endorsements than Palmer made his entire career...

One of the "Greats" of the game.... He will be missed. Not just for his accomplishments but what he meant to the game of golf and all of those he inspired.

    Death of Arnold Palmer

A very sad day. His approach to golf, to business, his public and public life is a model for the rest of us.  You can remember him because of all his golf accomplishment but that`s only a small part. Arnold Palmer did everything with class. Something sorely missed in society today. I can give you an example, tomorrow night we have our first presidential debate, please tell me between the two candidates which one has any class. It is a same we don`t have someone like Arnold Palmer running for our highest office. Maybe that`s why he is "the King" and he even had his own army.  I guess that is one army we all should join. Rest in peace Arnold Palmer.  Gone but not forgotten.

Tomorrow, for lunch, I'm putting lemonade in my iced tea in memory of Arnie.
