MRM6400 defeats bubbsboy @ Erin Hills Matchplay

4 UP.

Had a great time with Bubbs today. Heck of a nice guy. Very enjoyable indeed. Had WGT meter issues as we both struggle to execute basic shots but made the best of it.

Was 5 up after first 9 but Bubbs dug in and got to within 4 but that is how it ended.

As for the CTTH here it is below

Hole 6 neither one got close enough to mention

Hole 9 I got with 6' and bubbs got 10'

Well played Michael mate.

I could not get putter working at all there to give you a game. Early doors some halves may have kept me in it at the turn but was not to be.

Solid stuff mate and well played.

I will note CTTH....good luck with it.

Up 2 and 3, you can't coast against this guy. I think we each missed 1 GIR and I hit 20-25 once off the tee. You could throw a blanket over the tee shots and the DTP varied by about a yard or two. Hell of an even match between 2 guys that have been hacking here for over 8 years. Well done, Frank.

Great match against a fine player and fellow New York Yankee fan to boot!

As Jim said back and forth all the way until he had me down 2 late. I feel very fortunate to have squeaked out a win here.

Bill was great company, it was a really enjoyable match. Neither of us troubled the panel on the CTTH holes, but there was some good golf played.
