  Group 2  Game 1  UKGE Hawks vs Bridgestone Avengers

  

  

  Scott took an early lead with eagle on 6, then increased the lead to 2Up with a nice putt from the back fringe on 11.  My birdies on 12 and 13 got me back to AS.  Scott battled back with a nice bird on 14 with me getting a very strange result on my approach.  My birdie in 17 while Scott was metered on his slick putt from above the hole.

  My approach to 18 putt me 4 ft directly behind the hole while Scott had to navigate a longer hooking putt from the right of the pin. My bird on 18 sealed the 1 Up win for Bridgestone Avengers.

  A real pleasure playing against another of WGTs finest.  Excellent game, Scott.

  Certainly was, Jim, and yes I get where you're coming from.

  Credit must go to the Captains from both teams for ensuring any possible glitches/hold ups were straightened out without any hassle. It certainly added to the fun watching the overall score change so quickly as the results were posted promptly, too.

  Yep , credit must go to Paul and Pete.   All the glitches  were ironed out.      Great match by UKGE,   I know some behind the scenes shennanigans were going on,  but it's not my business,  i'm here to play golf.

  UKGE,   i'm pretty sure you have the players to qualify for the KO stages.
