  Have always held the highest respect for your posts and opinions but must say I disagree completely with the tone of attitude displayed here, I think it is highly unwarranted. There is a lot to keep track of here and nobody is going anywhere, so yea, please chill. I respect the amount of time consuming work in tracking all this, as well as trying to get everyone on board for the next round.I think an excellent job is being done.

  There really is not much to figure out on your own if you want to know how your team stands in the tables, is there?

  There certainly is. I only have to track 2 teams and that's enough for me. However, I don't wait until the last match is played to keep my guys aware of what's going on. I doubt Paul does either and it takes less than 30 seconds to refresh existing pages where those tallies are recorded. I don't think that's a lot to ask.

  I wonder how many have attempted to run a comp with 4/5 teams? We have 32 teams here. Its not merely putting on a competition, and then sitting back and watching it develop. Finney is working his socks off here messaging captains, answering this forum, updating scores, resolving problems etc etc etc. 

  For me Finney's doing an absolutely magnificent job. Ive not once opened my group scoresheet in this round and wondered if the latest scores have been updated. All you have to do - look at the other 3 match scores and you would know exactly what the group situation was.

  I also agree that the table should only be updated after the completion of a round, not after every single game. Much less hassle, and much less room for mistakes.

  Great shame that it comes to this guys. Finny is in my CC and along with half a dozen others does a great job of administering SEL for the benefit of others.

  It should be borne in mind that people are not exactly 'falling over each other' in great numbers to take on the workload. However I must say that updating the scoreboards at the conclusion of each group of matches does not really seem fit for purpose. 

  If you had just a couple of retired guys who could update daily, it really would not take that long. I would offer my services, but unfortunately I have hip replacement due on March 27, so not realistic at the moment.

  Always happy to offer my time in the future though.

  IMHO Finney (along with his helpers) is doing a sterling and admirable job here. I'm sure Paulton will agree that when we ran Andyson's Memorial events, there was less involved but it still took plenty of time to sort out the scoring etc.
