Few venues in the world of golf have the championship tradition of Oakmont. Introduced in 1903 by designer Henry Fownes, Oakmont Country Club has hosted more combined USGA and PGA championships than any other course in the U.S., including eight United States Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and two U.S. Women’s Open.

Oakmont remains perhaps the most difficult course in North America, with 210 deep bunkers (personified by the Church Pews), hard and slick greens that slope away from the player, and tight fairways requiring the utmost precision. Oakmont was the site of “the greatest round of the 20th century”: Johnny Miller’s final round 63 at the 1973 U.S. Open. Golf Digest ranks Oakmont #4 in its most recent version of America’s Top 100 courses.

No hiding from Lisa, she could give the Pink Panther a run for his money.

That score was when I was a TP from the baby tees, so it really doesn’t count.

After a few practice rounds with King I just don’t see an upset in the making. We just are not clicking at this course.

Maybe a few more months and we could be ready. LOL kidding Lisa

    My take on the Game:

For team Amy/King to win I will have to play perfect golf and come up with 2 amazing shots of some kind, king will have to play steady like he does and start liking Oak even for one day. Tess will have to miss 2 that she makes in her sleep and shades will have to have one he wishes he had back.

For the heavy favorites of Team Tess/Shades to win, Do what they do best, play steady birdie golf and make us do the same.

I stick with my prediction when this started Tess/Shades 3up

As for me, I am going to soak up as much as I can in this game. After all, I am playing an alt match with 3 of the best ever on WGT and not many can say that. I hope to learn a few things and not embarrass myself.

Good Luck to Tess/Shades have fun.

Priestess and Infinito3010 win the final-2&1--but it was a classic match!

A classic Match---that went to the last putt-before there was a "sure" winner. Congrats to Ironking34 & Jafo12 for a great performance. Amy's Eagle from 100 yds on 14 had to be the shot of the Tourney---wish we had replay.
