What I quoted in the other thread is verbatim what he said. They are obviously interested but I think they want to ensure that the interest is there in the community first before they begin to plan the event. Trust me, if we can get enough people to say they want to see this, I will do everything in my power to ensure this thing is properly planned and executed.

    Let see this email. ________________________________

POST HIS EMAIL. Better yet - Let YuChiang Cheng come in here and SHOW US, THE COMMUNITY HIS interest.

PLEASE man. OVER THE YEEEEEARS this is something that has been tried over and over and over again - with ZERO response / reply's / and complete SHUT DOWN from WGT and any one directly employed by WGT  / Top Golf company.

My friend. I would very much enjoy a so called "live event" but I can not help but go by facts and past history.

WGT / Top Golf has yet to come into either one of the Topics you created and has yet to say ONE WORD about a "live event".

This is all "hear say" and Im afraid to say, I've witnessed this same type of Topic before.

A "LIVE EVENT" is waaaay to transparent and trust me WGT will NEVER, EVER be that transparent. EVER.

The sceptic in me says that could be moral support, part support but not willing to bankroll the event once the costings are done.

I hope I am wrong, but I still cannot see it happening. A watered down version would be pointless and you would need 50+ players to make it worthwhile. Unless they get significant sponsorship, I cannot see WGT/TG opening their pockets.

@woodoworkery - I think WGT/TG need to expand on how they will support this so does need discussion and is not off topic. A simple framework of how they see the event occurring or they are just meaningless words on a twitter account.

Easy to tweet, actions speak volumes.

Alanti , once player support is there ,then and only then will WGT post their thoughts. Now if this thread starts to become a debate rather than a show of interest from the community, you can bet it will go nowhere.

So where is the framework of what we are supporting, a theoretical live event - what exactly are we supporting?

To gain meaningful support you need substance - detail that then you can get genuine support to table this to the community and to WGT/TG.  It will go nowhere if the company does not have details so it can cost the financial viability.

Treat it as a business plan, an idea is fine but you need to have the structure to make it a possibility. So numbers, locations, costing's, benefits, potential partners/sponsorships need to be broached.

Edit - I will not add to this thread so you can continue with your agenda, and if players want to vote or agree on a generalised idea, that is fine, But I am not a follower and like to know the details and how it will benefit all stakeholders.
