    i have up-sized my monitor to a 27" flat screen model...it's huge !!!

the swing meter is longer, the ding line is thicker!  the time it takes for the meter to reach the ding is no different than that on my 19" monitor.  if there is a difference i can't tell, my muscle memory indictates that it is very close to the same.

the only problem so far is hitting early (?), more often, but i also hit the ding more often.  i have experienced some difficulty in determining proper distance on the meter.  had my other one  down pat, maybe with more pratice it will get better.  i think it was a worthwhile investment.  i am looking forward to playing with more skill and advancing my present level.  my nickle.

ps:  in either  wgt or maxthon full screen mode the play picture does not occupy the entire screen.  on other aspects of use it does?  wonder why.  my nickle.

Jealous raises it's ugly head here ; )

Thanks for reporting your finds, I wonder if having a tiny dead fly stuck in my screen is enough reason for buying a new one?

Sounds great!  : )   Although I too should be envious of a man who has 3" more than me, lol.

The game window is not widescreen*, unlike your new monitor which (I'm guessing), is. Therefore you should have an area either side which is blank.

You might see some posts claiming that you can fill the entire screen of a widescreen monitor, but doing that will either cause the picture to be distorted or some of it will disappear off the screen.  : )

I sometimes hook up my laptop to my 42" tv using an hdmi cable. There is no lag and the game runs perfectly.

I hit early too on the big screen but you get used to it after a few tries.

That's what I was doing also Paul.  However I play on a laptop and take that with me when i travel.  No way to tote the TV around.

over here we have a black friday "sale" history.  so many things so cheap!  my particular store is an office supply, equipment, and furniture, specialist.  for a brand name monitor 27", with a year warrenty.  i paid 65% less than the standard price, as was on the shelf tag!

i understand it was a gett'em in the store price, but i don't care.  it came with a hmdi cable but my tower does not have the proper plug.  is it possable to use my 55" hd equiped tv?   hmmm?  need special hook ups from tower?   are there plug sets to convert standard usb plugs to hmdi?   hmmm?

there are times when i get exicted about some of the new technoligy, and suffer from the "i don't know's".  so i make an entry or 3, on the forums and there is always someone with great knowledge of the difficulity and sets everyone straight, sometimes many more than just one.   isn't it just great?, and doesn't come with a bill!

i hope my information can help someone else to make a choice.  my nickle.

I do the same Paul (posted it in "up-size pc monitor help play?" thread), except I go one bigger with a 52".  Picture looks great!  Sadly the increase in screen size doesn't equate to an improvement in my game.....

    Size isn't everything.

My partner often tells me that, with a look on her face that's somewhere between pitying and patronising but mostly dissappointment.

That's why I play on a 23' monitor, I can still cover the entire screen with them with no distortion and much cheaper, a 23' monitor is like a dinosaur today LOL
