Question about new driver?

  I Just Turn Level 58 and I'm Thinking About Buying The G10 Driver? But I Am Not Sure If I Should Wait For The Level 62 R9? I Want Distance The R9 shoots 275 G10 Shoots 270 But I Want Something That Stays On The Fairway Mostly? Which One Would You Choose?

  at 62 or there abouts,the r9 8.5 has about or the same swing speed as g10

  there about the same only diff is precision and yards i just dont know which to choose. lol

  Both are very good drivers. The G10 does have much better precision that the R9 but the R9's 2 1/2 dot precision seems to be more like 3. Also there is more than a 5 yard difference between the 2 drivers. Due to the lower trajectory of the R9 it rolls more than the G10 so it is closer to 10 yards difference. And 10 yards means 1 club difference in your approach shot and that helps immensely.

  The R9 8.0 is the best in breed before you get to the R11 in my opinion.  It goes well in the wind, in fact I now have the R11 and into the wind the R9 8.0 is just as long.  Downwind the R11 wins hands down as well as with a neutral wind (under 8 mph).  I would wait till I could get the R9 if possible.

  I answered this same question in another thread a week or so ago. You'll find big fans of both the 275 R9 and the G10. I've had both ... the R9 for over a year, and then the G10.

  Once I bought the G10, the R9 only collected dust ... I kept the ball in the fairway much more often with the G10 because it's nowhere near as wild on slight mishits.

  My advice would be to take the G10 now ... then as you level up, think about the 280 yrd R9 at lvl 84 ( totally different animal than the 275 yrd R9).

  Hmm Think im gonna rent the G10 first and see how i feel with it ifi like it i will buy it no doubt. Thanks for the reply

  And i think i may have been the man to ask.

  Even if i wasn't i faced the same dilema G10 or R9, and my decision was to wait and get the R9.

  Hard to say if i made the right decision as i didn't try the G10 but the R9 has that bit more forgiveness which is a life saver. The R9 also goes a long long way, so recommended IMO :)
