Is it possible for WGT to get courses such as TPC Sawgrass, Augusta National, Colonial CC, Bay Hill, Torrey Pines, TPC Summerlin, Waialae CC, or the like? Thanks.

How about Harbour Town, Valhalla, Wolf Creek, Manele and Koele. These are featured on the WGT Courses list but if you click to play you only get closest to the hole. To my knowledge (having struggled for years to Master @ level 92) none of these has featured as a 9 or 18 hole option on tournaments.

At the moment it's SAME OLD - SAME OLD. Month after month St A, Kiawah, Royal George, Chambers, Olympic & Pebble, Merion, Bethpage and Oakmont etc. . Celtic Manor & Congressional not featured any more.  Playing golf is about challenging oneself on new courses so would welcome a change.

Some of those courses were licensed to EA for their golf game, and they will never give permission for WGT to use them.  It seems that anymore only US Open courses are being added.  Erin Hills is coming this year.  Hopefully, Shinnecock Hills for 2018, Winged Foot for 2020 and Torrey Pines for 2021.  Those are the years that the US Open is scheduled to be on those courses.

Those courses will probably never be redone to make them full 18 hole courses.  Celtic Manor and Congressional are still available, so I don't know what you are talking about as regards those two.

And respectfully speaking, your game isn't going to improve by playing new courses.  You've been playing for over 7 years, and as a level 92 Master with a 72+ average you don't seem to be improving on the courses you have available.  I don't see how having new ones will make you a better player, as you have to LEARN any new ones.  You don't appear to have LEARNED the existing one, from your average.

    Just something to think about.

The CTTH courses were shot only for CTTH mostly, and therefore don't have the hundreds of thousands of photos to create a full stroke play course. It is therefore highly unlikely these will ever become full stroke courses, which is a pity as yes, everyone would like more variety.

For the record, Congressional is still available for Stroke play....Celtic Manor was only ever a CTTH.

Playing golf is about challenging oneself - true but that can happen on any course. How many courses do you regularly play in real life?

Then there is the cost.......a course costs hundreds of thousands of dollars from planning stage to completion - are you willing to increase your spend or fund a course?  Looking at your spend, it is minimal over the years. Remember WGT is a business designed to make profits,

My advice would be to challenge yourself to improve on the existing courses, but have fun in doing so.

I think you will find Icon was talking about CTTH at Erin Hills (before the stroke play course), not one of the CTTH courses becoming a stroke play course, but I would love it if I was wrong.

First of all I was never aware of how the courses were constructed for 9/18 hole play, so I now have a better understanding.

Just for your info, and bearing in mind Phred's comments about my average etc. Up until 2010 I was (at the age of 70 on a 9 handicap) a player of over 40 years having played rep golf for my club in Auckland, a member of the Eagles Society that arranged golf tournaments, and as a frequent traveller in my business have played on more than 40-50 courses in UK, USA, South Africa, Hawaii, Fiji, Malaysia and Thailand as well as more than 30 courses in New Zealand.. I always enjoyed the challenge of a new course - each was it's own voyage of discovery.

In 2010 I was in a car crash that crushed my right leg and damaged both hips, resulting in a femoral artery by-pass. That's why I am on WGT and as I have slowly made my way up to Master level I have enjoyed my time here. Not everyone wants to become a one finger legend and that should be taken into account by the WGT planners. It would be nice to play on a course occasionally when the wind is not in your face on every hole and the greens are normal, not PRO Tournament 12 level on diabolical sloped greens. Obviously my REAL playing days are over but when I joined WGT with starter clubs and at hack level it took some time to adjust to the nuances of each game and course.

And i might add - please do not sit in judgement of any member without knowing their circumstances first. Asking is better than telling.

@Simba - I still hope that you are right....as I think all players would like more full courses. But like all businesses they do have financial constraints, and any investment must return a profit.

@Daimau - this game, like real golf takes time to learn, well for most players. Obviously the clubs vastly improve scoring, but hand/eye co-ordination is also important, There are many older players on here, who still can shoot very well.

Like I said, set your own goals and objectives, but have fun in doing so.

I do get what you are saying regarding the relative lack of courses, but the courses we do have are top courses. I too have been lucky to have played many many courses all over the world including two of the courses on here, What you have to remember, these are courses that have hosted Majors......and have been set up like them. Therefore the rough is nasty and the greens are slicker than a croupier.....they have been set up to test players.

The winds on WGT are unrealistic but they are also one of the few variances they can throw at us....after all, our grip, stance and swing is the same every time......unlike the real game where one of a hundred things can change in a split second.

Finally there is no hurry to get anywhere, it is all about the journey......sit back relax and enjoy the flight.
