    oneputtdavid:

    MioKontic:
If it's on another green then you must (I think) take relief for no penalty.

Only if the greenskeeper, got an eagle eye on you. But if your in my group, play the ball as it lies. Leave a divot caused by your club selection, be prepared to go home early!

    David,

You and all the members of your group are incorrect, per the following:

    25-3. Wrong Putting Green

     a. Interference

Interference by a wrong putting green occurs when a ball is on the wrong putting green.

Interference to a player's stance or the area of his intended swing is not, of itself, interference under this Rule.

     b. Relief

If a player's ball lies on a wrong putting green, he must not play the ball as it lies. He must take relief, without penalty, as follows:

The player must lift the ball and drop it within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. The nearest point of reliefmust not be in a hazard or on a putting green. When dropping the ball within one club-length of the nearest point of relief, the ball must first strike a part of the course at a spot that avoids interference by the wrong putting green and is not in a hazard and not on a putting green. The ball may be cleaned when lifted under this Rule.

hit a perfect drive on oakmont hole 5.. and when i am goona shot my 2d shot into green its says i am in 40-50% lie.. have save the shot on my replay list take a look and see what u think!

That shot was by no means a "Perfect Drive", you missed the fairway by a mile and landed on the tee box for the next hole......hence you should get a penalty!

OK, I think this is all starting to make sense now. This clearly means that you are suppose to substitute "wrong tee box" where is says "wrong putting green" then add a 40-50% lie because you can't take relief. At least that is how WGT see's it.

Then it's settled. Moral of the story, do not hit your ball onto the wrong tee box.

    Have a nice day.
