The back door to courses started with Olympic after WGT had to delay the release of Congressional the year before when they found a problem the night they intended to release it. So the back door may be for us to find any problems before the official release.

It's now possible to play either 9 (or full 18) of Erin in multi-player stroke. I didn't notice if alt shot was available.
