Go for the latter.  A nice bottle of attitude adjustment fluid will make EVERYTHING look shiny for a while.

Yeah but it doesn't last as long.......

It really is daft isn't it?  All those credits for a meter speed change I won't even notice.

Have a grand idea-post a picture of the damaged goods.   :-D

Good idea, bet nobody's ever posted a picture like that eh?

I was comparing the L85 Callaways to the L80 NIKE`s, you`re not, so i think what i wrote is correct.

Is it really not noticeable, or you could you move one dot down in ball meter speed (to cheaper pellets)?  If so, it's a savings in the long run...

Why in the world would virtual you want to relive that? :-p

Yep we did also.  Happy hour was attitude adjustment, and R & R was rape and run.  The dark ages, LOL.

    Miantiao:

The game will exterminate itself if clubs keep getting better. What's the point, apart from attempting to bale as much hay while the sun shines? Going to have to brainstorm other revenue sources other than selling "upgraded" clubs, otherwise WGT will living on borrowed time. Pull your heads in.

I agree with this yet players still clamour for new clubs, improved clubs. With the top players shooting low 50's is the goal to see the top players shooting high 40's....then what?

Unfortunately WGT only sees revenue, not longevity and as scoring has become so unrealistic (that horse bolted a long time ago and no-one could be bothered to close the gate), why stop producing better clubs with better attributes as this is one area they can sell more product.

If attributes improve, it should have a risk versus reward equation.

With many players who do upgrade, many of these are not spending new money, just using accrued credits, therefore it is debateable how much new money is generated at the higher levels.

I cannot see the reins being pulled in, and the game will slowly become another TWO. The only difference that mastering the game will take longer until those high spec clubs become available....then the players will get bored.

With the disappearance of Nike, this really was the opportunity to peel back equipment, especially high attribute balls, but this would cost the business in terms of revenue. Especially balls, the big revenue earner.

The "brainstorming sessions" result in gimmicks or poorly implemented releases so I have no confidence that anything will change.

WGT has never cared about loyalty and whilst new players arrive to replace the players leaving, nothing will change. A business should strive for excellence, WGT strives to maximise profits.

The trees long for peace but the wind will never cease.

You're quite wrong about the Nike 3W, too.

I have to agree with ujjbnjk on this one Jim. The BB and Nike are both horrible. They're OK for blasting down a fairway. If aiming (approach or tee shot)..they're hit-n-pray clubs.

    Hi

I wouldn't go quite so far as to say BB is horrible. Agreed, at times it can get interesting but you get used to it. I am looking at the new 3wd though, for the reasons already given. The forgiveness.

Precision doesn't matter, trees are trees and water is wet, however precise Bertha is. Coupled with WGT's silky smooth meter, on long par5 s adrenaline levels rise sharply. Personally, I love it, each to their own I say but it could be a close run thing.

RSG The par3 11th. 241yds into the wind. Big Bertha off the tee.

    No, I didn't pray

    Cheers!

    Rich.

Obviously I disagree but only based on what I have experienced. The BB is worthless, IMO. Don't ding it and all hell breaks loose. I stayed with the R11s for the longest time because of that until a free rental weekend after the Nike came out.

Interesting and many players say the same, but I have never had one such shot where a missed ding (and believe me - I have a lot) has a shot had dire consequences, in fact often the opposite with respectable results.

I tried the Nike on a free rental - and there was no discernible difference. I too had the R11 3W before the BB - now that was shite.....and the R11S was moved up levels before I could get it.

But in fairness with most higher level clubs, how many fairways and greens are missed in comparison to looking at the PGA tour.....the game is becoming too easy.

Precision matters tremendously to some of us.

If accuracy matters ... why would anyone want a club with massive forgivness?

More forgivness is supposed to equate to a greater deviation % with respect to landing close to the pin. Least that's the way it's always been explained.

Tour blades have always offered greater accuracy and better results than alternatives... In WGT-opposite world not so much. Yet again, futhers the point of this being an arcade style golf game.

As for clamouring to buy these .... whatever they are? Dupes one and all, unless you're buying them just because you can't control that side of your brain...  ( hehehe ;-) )

    Whatever.... )
