only thing missing was the clowns mouth

May I suggest you lie on the green with your mouth open then.

If you watched the US Open being played at these courses, I think you would find the gradients and breaks pretty realistic. However the US Open seldom gets played under par, partially due to greens.

These courses are not your average municipal or pitch and putt courses, they are seriously well designed courses that are set to test the very best players. Then add to the mix the holes are cut to be soul destroying and when you see the top pros pleased to have two-putted, you know how challenging the greens are.

I do agree, pin placements are boring and WGT should add at least 3 or 4 pin locations to mix up the game.

So you are correct  that players know where to hit the approaches to, so why don't you? If you know better and keep making the same mistake, is that not the definition of stupidity?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but, apparently, not everyone knows.

    +1

And just to add what alanti posted, see "Oakmont's second hole is destroying players at the U.S. Open"

yeah you are brilliant you watched the US Open.  My guess is you never played a round of golf in your life.  I was a 4 handicap for most of my life.  The hole locations and the breaks in putts wouldnt be allowed on a real golf course.

Thanks for you imput, did WGT give you bonus points for kissing their butt?

If providing you with facts is kissing WGTs butt then he's guilty as charged.

You're just another inadequate player (so frustrated by their own lack of game knowledge and skill) that comes into the forum screaming and mewling like a baby.

While you continue to blame WGT for your poor play, you will never improve at the game.

If on the other hand you are willing to leave your bruised ego at home and listen to sound advice, you could become a good player. You will find many experienced and skilled players in this forum who would be happy to help you out.

    You only have to ask...

Right on Paul.  Also I didn't know they had handicaps at the local putt putt.

Information for the OP.  Do you think that WGT just up and decided to put the pin locations whereever they wanted?.. If you don't know, these courses you play are built from photographs.  The photos they took were where the pins were located when taken, so it's the courses in question that put these pins there.

If my chance when WGT took photographs of the course, if the pin locations were not changed by the course in question, they have no other pin locations photographed to add to these courses.

Since you have been here since 2009, you haven't noticed that WGT doesn't release all pin location at the same time for most courses.   They dangle them like bait, and release as an update.  When that will happen again is anybodies guess.

So now, we all know it was the clown that was putting on Oakmont #2, and the joke is not the pin locations, but YOU.

OK, I admit; I'm kind of stuck on this one. I can come up with three of the four: cognitive, psychological, and physical. But what was your fourth handicap?
