    Here's another issue.

I have played (and paid for) Cabo 2 times.  I wanted to see it and play it.  I did that.

I feel NO incentive to keep playing it.

Certainly some of us on WGT have played it today - for the same reason - just to see it etc.

What happens in a week?  In 2 weeks?  Surely "revenue" will tail off.

What incentive is there for me to play it anymore?  The Green Fee is the opposite of an incentive.

This will be WGT's issue to address.  I feel no particular reason to play it anymore - particularly at 100 CR per 9 holes.

I'm not trying to sound cynical - but seriously - what makes me play it again?

Your move, WGT.  Entice me.  - AtlantaCoaster

The first one that I saw say 150 for 18 holes so not sure if it was an early post that was changed before I got on today.

THEACEFACTOR has nailed this.  The TRUGOLF version is a slighty enhanced TWO version and will never approach the quality of WGT versions.  WGT seemed to lead me to believe that after the two Open courses this year they are done with the HighDef versions, when they mentioned that many other TRUGOLF versions could be made available if the community accepts it.

I would like a real comment from WGT.  This is obviously all about the money, they are tapped out and this is a quick way to add 8 to 10 courses on a pay for play basis, splitting the money with TRUGOLF.  I think the initial salvo of green fees is just for the shock factor and it will go down to about 25 credits for 9 and 50 for 18 soon to see if the 'green fees' pick up.  I understand business and economics, that was my profession before I retired and WGT can not survive under the current revenue stream.  The ads and pro shop sales won't come close and soon the juice on ready gos and mpc will go away under the new gaming restrictions that are now being enforced.

If this is an alterntive that allows them to quickly generate revenue then I have no issue with it.  If this is (as I suspect) the future of course design, then goodbye HD courses.

WGT just needs to come forth and let the long term members know the score (pun intended).  I have heard $250k to photo a course and about $250 to develop it to the playable state.  If you do 2 of those a year, that is $1 million just in new course development, not to mention normal expenses.  Come on WGT be honest with your members.

Why do all the existing courses (SA KWA BPB and Oak) also have the option for Trugolf..?

    Snaike:
Zag!?  See what you started with your first post just over 12 hours ago! WGT is going to blame you for the firestorm that you started with the word "BETRAYAL".

    Well, I'm fairly even-tempered but I call'em as I see'em.

Was actually returning to the thread now to ask, "So it's been over 12 hours. Is it gone yet?"

Wow... 16 hours since Wgt introduced greens fees  and there are already 34 pages of negative feedback...That must be a record..

Does anyone think that wgt will change their minds about this?

There will be no-one playing this course while the two virtual opens are on over the next few months. That's bound to concentrate the minds at WGT. The green fees will have to be reduced considerably to offer some incentive to play there.

My opinion for what it is worth....

Graphics = High end quality suck! -1

Play = Extra ordinary bland -4

Pay = Never in this life time would I pay you a green fee for that suck quality. might pay 5 credits for a membership for all the tru-golf courses but not what you are asking

    Bottom Line

YOU BLEW IT BIG TIME WGT! You lowered your standards going graphic because you did not want to spend any money. You got a $10 Million investment and this is the best you can offer....The power drink was no where near as much a suck-fest as this is.

Due to the lowered quality of play how about paying us 5 credits to play these courses, since we are the ones to suffer from the lack of quality.
