  This is my local real life local golf club, located near Cobh in the county of Cork, Ireland. What is your local club like ??

  Rathcore Golf and Country Club

  There's water on 16 of the 18 holes & most greens have two to three tiers

  The founder & former owner was the great Meath full back Mick Lyons who had many a battle In the late 80's & early 90's with Cork

  One of mine is like Beth Page Black here in upstate New York. Many to choose from within 20-30 minute drive.Also have one in the city that i live that's a Robert Trent Jones course,very tough.

  I was a member of Westwinds GC in Victorville, CA until the city shut it down 6 or 7 years ago. The scorecard and a few pictures are still available at the city's website.

  It wasn't fancy by any means but the comraderie was great, the prices were very reasonable and it was rare we couldn't get on without reserving a tee time.

  Now I just scout out great deals and play a variety of courses all over southern California.

  The beauty of which is if you don't fancy the golf then there's first class fishing to be had just about anywhere in what is a massive harbour. You can fish just off the side of the road in places and have great fun with 40-50lb conger eel right under your rod tips.
