igiveup: A hint if you are concerned about the meter, if it looks a bit jumpy....
Had to chuckle a bit after reading your advise. Not at you, I see you've been around for awhile.
Just played a RG @ St A back 9, after a 19hole AS match game. No meter issues whatsoever. Trust me I KNOW meter idiosyncrasies.(ask any of my friends, if I have any left) Anyway, eagle at the par 5 (2'4" from a DE) puts me 5 under w/4 to play. Tee-up at #16, 16 mph head wind @ 11to 5, aim 3yds left of the wall, planning to hit early to avoid the bunkers on the left. Whammo the biggest spike I've see in three weeks. Completely out of nowhere, no warning, no signs nada. Meter downswing starts out normal for 1/2 way... stops at the 1st line for a micro milli sec, (remember I want to hit early) then "warp-speed" 1/2 inch past ding. Well you know the rest.
Sorry to bore you with my story...just jotting down my thoughts to ease some frustrations.
