I've had putts many times from where those pins were shot. Surely, they cannot be any worse than Kiawah's pins
I'm not really sure. When I joined in October 2009 it was CTTH only. Don't know when it was first put on. Someone who had been here longer might know. (Edit) I did some checking in the news and found that St. Andrews as CTTH only was added in July 2009. Over 6 months before the front 9 stroke play course was introduced.
We got the front 9 on February 25th 2010 and the back 9 on May 14th 2010 and got the second set of pins in July for the Open Championship. Until Pebble Beach St. Andrews was the last course to be brought out as separate 9's.
