Soo he finishes 29th with a mediocre score...gets his name pulled out of the hat and...voila ...$$$ cha ching $$$ case closed
Note: the trip had to have a $ amount attached to it...he has to take the trip (and probably pay the taxes on it)
If i may venture a neutral consideration here .... i think the reasons the WGT team has prizes that are awarded by random drawing as well as prizes that are awarded by actual tournament placement are #1.... the same top players would be taking every prize home thereby discouraging other players from participating ... #2 ... facilitating the process of aquiring new players ... (laymen's language ... getting more people to join WGT) thereby increasing the bottom line .... this is a business you know ....
