Forget the loft for a moment, couldn't they just add a 2nd version of the 60°? Kind of like they did the nike putter for the increments. Put whatever loft on the club that you want, just make it the yardage that we want/need.
Think of it as having the 60 degree bent a few degrees from 60 to 64 degrees.

I saw a 60 degree wedge at our local Goodwill Store yesterday. This Was what was stamped on it. Third Wedge. 60 degree Soft Lob 40 yards or less. Not the 80 yards here but 40 or less. So I am assuming that would make a 64 degree around 30 yards or less.
Probably why it got donated to Goodwill,
When I first got a 60 degree wedge IRL it quickly became the magic wand in my bag, From about 60 yards in, it was deadly.
