    Borat74:
As a former member of the Georgian,it seems they have no competition in this clash,Silver dollar look to have thrown the towel in,so i wonder how much revenue will be lost in this clash compared to the last 2??Maybe time to do what everybody has said WGT,make it tiered so clubs with less members  WILL compete or just gift The Georgian putters for the next 50 clashes because the results will be the same,I KNOW,lol????

Not a Big deal, two players from my CC played a clash game and we came in # 184 out of 60,000 clubs so I dont see any finishing position as much of anything

are the clashes meant to be fun/enjoyable. for the first five matches in this current clash we drew Pinehurst back nine in three consecutive games, then Chambers Bay back nine with 30mph winds and then a return to Pinehurst back nine for the fifth.

do wgt really think people want to waste passes playing in unplayable conditions? why can't they vary the course for every match and occasionally pick a likeable nine holes?

Don't know for sure, but sometimes, the score is close, but wgt gives 100 points the the club whose member had the lowest score on the course during the match-up.

It is not the lowest score. it who had the most points. in other words what player bought the most passes or used the most super passes. If it were the lowest score it would make it better slight;y better than it is now.

There is also a participation bonus that might actually help smaller clubs if they have active members, but also helps clubs like The Georgian who have many active members. I would hazard to say that most clubs never get this bonus. I know ours never has. the most I ever saw us have was 5%.

So you can see a club with very few but active members could get 300 points  just for having everyone play.

    • 0 - 24.9%: 0 points
    • 25 - 49.9%: +40 points
    • 50 - 74.9%: +100 points
    • 75 - 99.9%: +175 points
    • 100%: +300 points

There is a greater gap between The Georgian and the rest of the clubs this time around. Seems the other clubs are losing interest. Maybe it is time for WGT to do what I suggested a long time ago. Average out how much The Georgian spends on each clash, charge them that amount, give them the putter, leave everyone else out of it, and forget about even having a clash. The perfect solution, WGT gets their money, The Georgian gets their putter, and the rest of us can stop posting what a sham it is.
