The Moderators cant do anything about it , So what can they say ?  It was a decision by WGT upper management or Oakmont management , Those people don't read the forum ..Upper management don't give a rats behind about us . End of story ..

Exactly.  Don't get why ya'll feel they are obligated to tell us anything.  Are you expecting a 5 page report about how the negotiations went and what might have went wrong?  Maybe nothing went wrong.  It just expired and both parties amicably went their separate ways.

They've said all that needs to be said.  A business deal expired, and for reasons unknown to us all it didn't get renewed.

    That's it.

I disagree. WGT owe us - the paying customers - more of an explanation for suddenly removing, without warning, one of the best, if not the best course in the game.

This also cut the number of pure courses from a paltry 11 to an even tinier 10 - several of which are now old and boring.

And it messed up Custom Courses that many had spent considerable time devising.

Removing the course is tragic - but not even offering us any sort of explanation - apart from a passing comment, is very bad customer relations (but then WGT are experts at that).

Wonderful Oakmont gone, Erin Hills coming soon.....so after being on here for almost 5 years why don't we work on the never ending disconnects, lousy meter play, especially after the great WGT updates. Turn some of those pay to play course into playable at at times.

If we all weren't addicted you'd be in real trouble

Chad saw the writing on the wall, took the swag, and ran. Beginning of the end? Who knows?

    100 percent agreed.

Removing Oakmont suddenly without even the hint of an apology or forewarning lacks common courtesy that in the very least was owed to us.

We get a 14 word one sentence statement saying Oakmont is gone which I and many others consider to be the best course in the game.

"Our agreement with the course has ended, so it’s no longer playable on WGT"

Unlikely, but it kind of looks like they tried to hide this news between a stay classy avatar update and the VUSO, real classy wgt, really classy indeed. You almost hid that one from us! Laughable and hugely ironic that these two news pieces are right next to each other while the more import loss of Oakmont is actually hard to see. WGT should get into comedy!

What should have been said in a larger font:

"We regret to inform you after lengthy discussions, Oakmont is no longer playable as the agreement has ended. Although not replaceable we hope the new edition of Erin Hills will be a sort of consolation for the loss of such a great course. We apologize to our loyal fanbase and hope for your continued support in the future, regards --WGT"

It just goes to show they don't care and outright lack any clue whatsoever of what class means or entails. This becomes painfully apparent in the pathetic attempt at the new avatar. Basically we got the middle finger is what it comes down to. That's what I'm upset by. I don't care as much as to the reason we lost it as to how they dealt the news.. Bunch of clowns running the show!

I refuse to give this joke of a company any more of my time and money. Good riddance, thanks for making this decision easy wgt and top golf!!

If you have got a decent PC or high end laptop then play "the other game"

Quite a few from our club went over to it, including a not so distant owner .

They still use our website to host videos and keep us up to speed with all their league progress.

I cant play it, just too high spec for what i have...........or i would, so as we have a fine friendly country club, well then i will still help run it, but its not WGT who keep me here....far from it.

They wont answer, they never do. As per above, that announcement would show some class.........these have none.
