If you were in a shotout with me, what would you go for; a rifle for precision, or a water pistol because it's forgiving....????

    Precision every time...

It depends on what kind of meter speed you are comfortable with. The higher precision clubs all have much faster meter speeds than the more forgiving clubs. If you are comfortable with faster meter speeds then the higher precision clubs are the way to go. But if you are not comfortable with the faster meter speeds then the more forgiving clubs might me best for you.

In the longer run it will be better for your game to learn how to handle some quicker clubs. There are exceptions, but it seems that most players need to use highly accurate clubs like the higher-ranked G10s (level 59+, I believe) in order to generate lots of good birdie opportunities.

That said, for the most part accuracy is not so important with the driver because then your target is generally a broad fairway, where you just want to get as much distance as possible without rolling into the rough, rather than trying to hit a pin or some small area close to it.

its all in my approach and putting...approach - the irons i have (TM tour burner steel) have half a dot less on forgiveness than the starter irons but have 3 precision...if im off the ping by thismuch, im looking at a 15+ ft putt (yes i do compinsate for the wind lol).....putting - i have both the redwood and spider putters and the only diffrence i see is the speed of the swing meter.....i guess ill just wait til i level up and get the 280 yd driver that way i can just use a wedge to the green and not worry about any of this lol........oh and btw in a shootout, id just call for air support and have em drop some napalm LOL

After experiencing issues with this and reading posts back as far as 2009 I don't think anything has been done to fix the proble.  As many have stated if yu hit the perfect shot and get the ding, the wind speed and resulting direction and distance should behave a certain way based on the laws of physics.  This is not what happens, and I have noticed that it seems to have gotten more pronounced the rank I got.  For instance as an amateur using the starter set (not the Easyswing), accuracy was actually better and behaviour more what I expected than when I am Tour Pro using R11 irons.

If I hit a 110yd club perfect into an 11mph wind there is NO WAY it is going to go 110 yards.  Similarly an 80yd (Ping Tour W 54)wedge into a similar wind with maximum backspin using Callaway balls, the thing should; a) not go 110yds being knocked down by the wind, b) possibly back up, not go forward.  I play the game for real and can tell you the mechanics here are suspect.  Perhaps I don't have high enough spin gear to generate enough backspin, but the wind issue is definitely something that needs to be addressed.

This comes down to what some call the circle of randomness. The centre of the circle is the spot you aim for.  Any shot, no matter how well hit has a chance of not going exactly where you hit it.  How far off line a ball may go is dictated by this circle of randomness: High precision clubs = small circle, low precision clubs = large circle, the ball can go anywhere within this circle.  Forgiveness only plays a role when you miss the ding, clubs with high forgiveness will deviate less, clubs with little forgiveness will obviously deviate more.  That is why a missed ding shot will very occasionally go exactly where you aim it, the circle of randomness may send the ball right but the forgiveness variation may send it left.  When this happens you still get a straight shot.  Hope this makes sense.

I'd say if the ball isn't stopping dead then there's every chance it's going to go full distance in to 11mph wind, that's really not very much.  With decent clubs I'd ignore a head wind of 10-12mph, I still get full carry.
