Wait... you missed 4 putts that were 2" long, or you missed 4 putts by 2" ?

If the former, then I might have lost my mind.  How does that happen?

Heh, it's by design. The hook got set in the first week when conditions and parameters were relaxed. Just enough to get you thinking you had a chance. Ever seen a dog chase its tail? That's us now.  LOL

I think it's playing easier today.

Any tips on the 4th hole? I know someone said they did better from the right side. I usually go right and I used to birdy it often and now I hardly ever do. Seems like I always go long and if I knock off a couple yards next time I end up in the fringe. I aim to the left and let the hill take the ball down.

Also just realized this tournament goes through to July! I was thinking it ended at the end of this month. So I bought a driver that is a few yards longer. Not as forgiving and faster swing speed but I think I can do ok with these wide fairways.

Remember, its only the top 156 literally on the scoreboard that get 2000 credits for qualifying,

the ties get NO credits but still qualify, so get shooting your 55's people

Get the ball from the tee to in the hole in as few strokes as possible; this tip also holds true for most courses.

    Virtual U.S. Open Qualifier Prizes

One random Sweepstakes player will win the Grand Prize trip to the 2018 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills in Southampton, New York where you and a friend will be the special guests of the USGA and a $500 e-giftcard to the USGA store. In addition, the top 156 scores (plus ties) will each receive 2,000 WGT Credits, plus those players will advance to the Virtual U.S. Open Championship rounds where the top score will win a second Grand Prize trip for two to the 2018 U.S. Open. See rules for details.

It said the same last year!

But check the Qualifier leaderboard and the prizes beside the 56's

2000 credits was only awarded to the top 156 on the leaderboard  NOT THE TIES

Its all still their if you wish to google it my friend

IIRC, this was pointed out last year right away and I think WGT made it good but it didn't show up on the LB because of the way it was set up. Something like that.
