We've all rushed out to buy the new level 77 irons (with their faster meter than G10's), Icon mentioned in other post "they're only a hair faster than G10's"(more like a dreadlock), so i bought myself a set.I've gone from hitting ding, to always missing ding, so my game's gone worse not better(Early days yet though) but what's the chance's of WGT releasing level 80 irons next month, but with a meter speed the same as G10's.  I bet we'd all rush out and get those aswell LOL, could be a nice earner for WGT (:

Any way, after these new courses, wgt would deserve the extra revenue and if new irons came out, i wouldn't mind spending another $25 on more irons again.

Being the good consumer that I am, I bought the new TM's within 2 hours of there release. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. I find the meter just a shade faster but adapted almost immediately and was able to post some nice scores with them the same day. Also for what ever reason, to me they seem to be a little more forgiving and just as accurate as the G-10's. Hitemstr8!

I was hoping for a 140 yard 9i, but instead its a 135, and the long irons go up in 15 yard increments, compared to the Ping G10's 10 yards.  I'm still getting used to them though.

More like a lot more accurate and that 1/2 dot extra of forgiveness makes all the difference. 1-2 pixel misses stay on line making it easier to hit them.

I would compare the meter speed on these irons to the R9 Tri driver i used to have,(but my current R9 level 80 driver & irons are advertised as same speed, but the driver is a lot slower,  it feels weird having a nice slow driver which i can hit the ding all the time, to irons which are much faster,

The way I see it the difference in meter speed between the R9 and the R11 is the same as the difference between the i15s and the new TMs. The R9 is a bit slower as are the TMs.The R9 actually fits the TMs better but the R11 slower meter matches the 3w and isn't hard to manage with faster irons.

FWIW, a few rounds is not enough to know how much better the TMs are, you need to commit to them and play a lot of rounds all around.

I'm just a little concerned that if I buy these new ones, there'll be a better set brought out next month.

Had a few more hits with  the irons , 1 week before moving to them I was using the I15`s so I have got use to the meter speed in advance if I new the new irons were coming out I would not have bought the I15`s.

When you hit the ding with the Taylor made irons In most cases they go where you aim. They have good stopping power on greens what I like.

You do get mix results when you just miss the ding. But that is expected with all irons.

Do I think they are worth an upgrade from I15`s to The new clubs hmmm nearly the same hard to notice the difference I15`s are really good clubs if you can hit ding or close to the ding.

    Give it a week & 1000 hits later , 50 - 60 RG`s & we will see.

    So far I like them
