Nobody is that consistantly good for 18 holes, the one guy pulled a 51 on one coarse, thats 18 birds and 3 eagles  ***

And 10 out of 9 people can't do math.

Math aside, on that particular tourney they were (and still are) playing from short tees, so on every one of the par 5s the players with good equipment are reaching the middle of the green in 2 just like a routine par 4. That is the specific setup for that tourney.

    Answer:

    1. Hit it straight and long off the tee and land in the fairways or on the green all the times.

    2. Put all approach shots to within 2 yards of the hole or less.

    3. Always 1 putt or hole approach shot then move to next hole.

    4. Never, never miss.

    00. Have the most accurate and longest golf clubs and golf balls.

    0. Plan each shot carefully based on your inside-and-out knowledge of the specific course.

    5. When you do miss, recover. Maybe no one will even notice. A miss by a great player might be no worse than a decent shot by an average player. If they *screw up* and have to hit a 20-footer for birdie, instead of a 6-footer, they'll probably make it anyway.

These added points are accurate and very acceptable to be added to the "cheaters to do list". Thanks Zag.

It is kinda hilarious that in the virtual US Open, you have to post a -10 or 62 score to qualify.

The way it's going a 62 might not get you in.

To the Op if he bothers to come back to read this topic...

Some of the top guys are looking at 5,000 ranked rounds played...

    Lets do some maths here...

4,000 ranked rounds 9 holes roughly at 20 mins per round.

1,000 ranked rounds 18 holes roughly 40 mins per round

A few hundred hours of playing 3 - 4 - 10 - 13 holes getting bored , or not going to plan & restart the tournament.

    Countless hours playing practice mode.

Then add alternate shot & MP time into it all.

Agreed. This is probably not a result of cheating, however, but of the fantasy aspect of the game (mostly due to clubs being much more accurate and consistent than in real life--among the top pros). Two very different issues.

Suffice it to say that the winning score in the first Virtual US Open (single final round), at Bethpage two years ago, was a 66.

I used to think that they all were using ding software( which is availiable) , but, most of them are just really good players. It's been talked over before and the general concensus is that these guys are just good. And WGT can catch the real cheaters anyway. Doesn't mean that some people aren't trying to cheat though. Sandbagging to me, is a lot worse! WGT added more levels, but that hasn't quite worked, it did to some extent but there's still a gap between the really good legends and the legends like myself. That's why I check the leader board before I sign up for tourneys, if these guys are in it I don't sign up. You just can't do that in ready go tourneys(don't know why?). Compete only when you have a chance to compete, do not throw yourself on your sword or putter or driver or whatever.

Not sure where you got this impression, but I don't think it is the case. They have never professed to have caught anyone who wasn't caught due to their own negligence. Which shows example of cheats in use and not blocked or discovered. Not that their lack of admission means they haven't caught anyone, but I think the evidence shows differently.
