Endeavour does not want to play clash's

      As a member of the "Old Duffers Retreat CC"  (Est. 12/5/11) may I say this....

      Our president has uncovered some classified information regarding influence being done in the clashes.

     A group of aliens from the Orion galaxy has hacked into WGT's computers.   They disguise themselves as the Georgians.

     Investigators become suspicious when a saucer shaped vehicle parked in the handicap spot reserved for an old duffer.

     A little green man was then transported to the local veterinarian with a head wound created by a cane wielding old duffer.    DON"T mess with old duffers!!

  For those clubs still looking to advance levels, the clashes can help. Just play once to get the CC Pass every four hours going during the clash. Then use the extra free passes to play 18 hole tourneys. Even a normal 9 hole tourney pays more XP than the clash nines.

  How did WGT pay the bills before the clashes?  BALLS, that's how, everyone buys balls, not all play the clashes. That is what still pays the bills.

  How did I know you were in The Georgian before I looked it up.  lol

  Clashes dont pay the bills club and ball sales do . At the same time dont want to play then dont play . Club owners can tell its members as to whether or not to play in the clashes . Some clubs its manadatory and others its optional . In the club in which Im a member its optional and members are free to play as they wish . I`ve never played a clash and barely use the pass . At L14 there is nothing for my club to benefit from so we just play and have fun .

  Would be nice though if club owners had a club option to turn clash notices off or being entered in them at all . That would resolve the issue across the board .

  I kind of don't mind it TBH.  WGT see it as a way of advertising to go making milking a quid...I am good with that though.  

  If someone in my place, like yours, wants to play participate in it also good.  They can even drum up a team if they find anyone interested - would not be me of course :)

  XP  side it is also a game.  Level 4 you get the pals and after that it's fluff (5 credits to set up an extra prem. tourney)...........With all the tricks around this place it's not even really a measure of "activity", not normal activity anyway:)

  Again I don't blame WGT for the XP race.  Common sense though tells me that there are and never will be meaningful benefits in very high XP levels (CC wise).  One look at even where we are, L12, would be a turn off in bothering to start, for most normal people, if that was where you needed to get for anything meaningful........

  I didn't notice the OP complaining, in fact in a later post he mentions how much he enjoys playing the game on here.

  BUT is it not typical that a Georgian member will rush to the defence of this farcical tournament that WGT stage every 2 weeks. We all know who will win it before it starts, why other CC's even play in it is beyond me, because they will never win it.

  Georgian pour the credits in just to get a ridiculous GOLD putter, and a few balls !! Sad really that adults should fall for the scam !

  AND balls and clubs do pay for this site not Georgians credits

  Definition of scam: "an illegal plan for making money, especially one that involves tricking people." (Cambridge Dictionary).

  The Clash is not a scam. It could reasonable be argued that it's a load of bollox, but not a scam. 

  And there's no need to feel "sad" for anyone that takes part. After 51 iterations I believe the vast majority of participants are going in with their eyes wide open, particularly the members of The Georgian.
