Woods arrived after an overnight flight and found the Old Course much different than he remembered. By the middle of his round Sunday, when his tee shot at No. 11 wound up on the seventh green, the strongest recorded gust was just under 50 mph.

No worries....it was a subtle reference to Marg Delahunty (aka: Mary Walsh -- This Hour Has 22 Minutes).

Just thought that if you've played in the 'Hat in November (was it on a dare or something? lol), you might be familiar with Marg's exploits.

And speaking of wind....I played my first round(s) of the year last weekend, in gusty winds that reached probably 50mph or so at times....using a brand new set of irons I bought the night before.  It was interesting to say the least.  I still have no idea how far my 8-iron goes....based on the shots I hit, it's somewhere between 110 and 250...lol

I was out as a single, so I played 2 balls.  Shot 85 on the first, and 94 on the second.  I sort of figured it would be the other way around, but I think that once I hit safe on the first ball, I got a little braver on the second ball.....and apparently I should have been a little less brave! lol  Plenty of room for improvement with those 2 scores......
