You keep track of how many times you've hit each ball that you play?

I think we need a sixth group. For labeling the group, I'll leave that to others.

When many new balls were first available, 5 - 6 years ago,  everytime i changed balls I would count the strokes.  It wouid be between 116 and 120.  never went over 120.  when wgt changed how balls were rated I counted several different ones and had numbers as low as 106, but never over 120.  my nickle.

This is from a forum search awhile back so no guarantee on the accuracy

    WGT balls durability

    1.0.        70-90 hits

    1.5.        90-110 hits

    2.0.       110-125 hits

    2.5.       125-150 hits

    non WGT balls

    2.0.     100 hits

    2.5.     120 hits

numbers do not reflect any putts

The WGT legend ball Gl2SD2 with 1.5 durability got 98 regular hits for me.

The Nike level 48 ball with 2.5 durability got 90 shots for a member according to him. He didn't say if last shot was in the water but was complaining about durability for what it's worth.

"We are not allowed to tell you how may hits a ball make take before being retired from play." Really? When I bought that "57 Chevy from" George the Gyps Used Cherries". I asked..."How many miles per gallon George. And like all used car dealers he gave me an HONEST estimate. This site is really sinking.

Im not for sure but you can check Scott Hope`s profile page . He has alot of charts on club ratings and so forth . He may have a chart that shows ball durability as far as hits on the various balls in the proshop . There was also a thread a few years ago about the same thing and it listed the balls with # of hits per ball . Just use the search option >>>>>>> . I`ll run a search as well and will bump the thread if I find it . Hope this helps .

this is asking the same question ..."how long is a piece of string?,

the ball lasts as long as it does if you hit it in water  then not very long
