    I beg to differ. Are, in the context it was used, refers to a single entity-WGT. It also infers multiple subjects. There's only one subject-WGT. "WGT and TopGolf" or using "is" instead would make it proper. 


    The gist of the comment was to point out that I don't believe Paul.  LOL  ;-)

    Gotcha, but that is how it's said in the UK. Where Americans might say, "Jaguar is returning to LeMans," over there it's "Jaguar are..."

    I know this because when I toiled at AutoWeek, we had a British editor for awhile. He drove the copy editor nuts.

    For any language, native speakers tend to make more mistakes and I believe it is quite natural.

    I've heard and seen so many Americans (and a Canadian) saying "He don't care", "She don't get it", tons of this sort so you Americans ain't in a position to criticize others about their grammar and wording. ;-)
