I read your post originally but I have nothing to add. All the things you did, I have no idea if they will work or hurt your performance. But, from what it sounds, you seem to know what you are doing & talking about, so not sure what I can say will help.
I am also not sure if anyone can help this issue because the things you mention go above and beyond any support I can offer.

An honest reply, I appreciate that. Sometimes, an answer like that, is all, that is needed. Meanwhile, so far so good, keep your toes crossed.

You know, sometimes I see some threads that I can reply to but I don't. Sometimes advice coming from from, for example, may not be seen genuine (ie what clubs to use or what balls to use) or some other things. So, I let our community answer them first and then if needed, I'd chime in.
I do read every new post of the day except for off-topic forums where I only skim and reply to alerts of misbehavior.
In this case, I read it but didn't want to comment cause my comment may encourage folks to tinker with registry and we both know that's not a good idea if you do not know what you are doing.
Personally, I try not to tinker too much because of how sensitive things are but I do clean reinstall every 3-4 month. Take an hour and another hour to reinstall programs But that's just me and I know some folks who have XP installed for 5 years and still no issues.
That's why it's so hard to trouble shoot over internet. Not only each person is unique and how they use (1 has tight ship, locked services, defrags weekly, while other is a pack rat extraordinaire, without AV or windows update.... everyone else falls in between. At best you can recommend what works for most but at worst it's some kinda tricky issue which is impossible to solve without doing alot of research trial and error.
