Well, after separating the buckwheat from the bullshi%#, it comes down to a player taking hard earned WGT credits away from another player, unfairly and unjustly, but not unconsciously.

After looking at the leaderboards, I can only assume you are talking about me SweetiePie, and I am actually pretty offended. So I can't play any tournaments since I upgraded to master? If I use my rapture driver I still post near the same scores as my master driver if not the same (while on pro tees). I try not to offend but it seems as though you are calling that 'dubious player' out.

I agree that the way they have it set up is messed up and needs to be changed, however I can't do anything about it. I WANT to play with the master tier, I don't want to play with an unfair advantage and be called out, but it is what it is.

Loopholes and technicalities aside, SweetiePie, players have been stealing, lying and cheating since the first duplicate was made.  Taking hard earned credits away from those who desrve them seem to be the rule here, and not the exception.

(Note to RUSTYNIPPLES, I am in NO-WAYreferring to you, or other Masters that SP has described, in the above paragraph.)

My point is this, these people (the ones who play Pro Tourney's with Master Clubs) are playing the game the way the game is designed.  Flawed? Of course, but they are not cheating.

Allow me to reiterate and restate a solution from some time ago:

The ONLY way to remove cheaters, liars and thieves, and to effectively close the tournament loophole as described above is to ELIMINATE all NON-MASTER TOURNAMENTS.... or at least all NON-MASTER TOURNAMENTS with top score eligible prizes.  If you must have HACK, AMATEUR, and PRO TOURNAMENTS, they are to be Sweepstakes ONLY.

Think about it.. if there are no prizes for scoring best in lower level tournaments, no one can get their feelings hurt if a duplicate sandbags his way to the top spot.

Rustynipples has (have?) (a) point(s). Imagine it's October 2nd, and after months of hard effort, you've finally managed to advance to the Master tier. Hooray! Of course you're gonna buy one of those Master-only clubs to celebrate the occasion. Now, under such a scenario, you can't realistically expect the new Master player to voluntarily refrain from using his new equipment for 29 days, until October is over! Because, as you know, there are monthly tournaments, and in all of these, new Masters would be allowed to play from the Pro tees until the month is over.

So, I see no difference between this "offence" (if it is an offence) and that I mentioned earlier, of Masters using Master-only equipment from Pro (or easier) tees in tierless tournaments.

Both of these occurrences result from the way WGT set up the tourneys, as Nivlac said. It's not the ideal way, but I don't think it's right for SweetiePie or others to call out players for using the equipment that they are entitled to use.

PS to Snaike: Screaming in red big fonts doesn't make your suggestion any more persuasive. I find it to be nonsensical; most users of this site (such as myself) are unlikely ever to advance to the Master tier, and to forever deprive them of all score-based reward tournaments strikes me as an absurd suggestion.

Then you will suffer cheats, liars and thieves.  That is your choice.

No matter how much we wish it were so, WGT is not about to catch all the duplicates and multiples and you will continue to lose out.

And, as you can see Faterson, I am in the same situation you are.  I have not achieved Master rank yet and am not likely to do so in the near future...   But I am a realist.

So my point, in big, bold, gaudy red letters, is that there will always be cheating unless drastic steps are taken.

Would not the end-all solution be either...

a.)  You stick with your pro score and forfeit the right to improve it

    or

b.)  You forfeit your pro score and move into the master division and compete anew

However with that being said, I don't think WGT has a way to "erase" your pro score or "unenter" you from a tier in a tournament.  It's  the same reason they can't give re-tries to people who run across technical errors during their round.  As Alex said to me once (and this may be paraphrased), "It's not as simple as just resetting a flag."

That would seem to be the solution to fix this problem though, so long as they can figure out how to do it.  Yes, no, maybe-so?

The simplest solution is to start treating tournaments like REAL tournaments, and allow only one entry per golfer. Plain simple, and REALISTIC.

Crusty they do that already with the single play tourneys, if all the tourneys were single play, it would get just a little bit more boring.

Would not stop the cheaters, liars and thieves, Crusty...  they would flourish.

Rusty > Its impossible to be any more boring than playing the same two courses, with the same pin positions, month after month, after month.

Snaike > No more than at present.

Name just one real tournament in which players can start over, or play additional rounds, in order to improve their standing. Do that and I'll consider other arguements.
