Match #2 is in the books. I failed to save the card, but it was an ESPN instant classic. Textbook at the beginning from both sides. AS thru 3. Then team USA (poolmaniac/nickolijj) warmed up going bird bird eagle to take a 3 up lead through 6. World (priestess/simovoice) answered back nicely on 7 with a great par save. Both myself and tess were metered severely on tee shots. SIMO hit a wonderful pitch from 20 yds to 2 ft. From there on out the momentum changed with Team World taking a 1 up lead to 17. Both teams hit approaches to inside 7 ft, but they were benders (short right and left). USA made, and World missed so the match moved to 18 AS.

14 mph tailwind blowing a bit towards the water. Tess hit a good shot to the center of the green that rolled long to 18 ft. I was able to catch a ding and get it to settle to inside 6 ft just long. With all the pressure in the World on Simo he drained the 18 footer no problem. Pool cleaned up our birdie and the match was halved.

It was a very fun match. Both teams made a few mistakes, but all around it was very top notch play. A halve was a fair result.
