    To my USA teammates,

I'm really sorry for getting off to such a rotten start.  After those first few holes, our match was tit for tat.  I hate that I let you guys down.

It's been amazingly fun to be a part of this event and I can't wait to play in it next year.

JCOlson, you have done a wonderful job as captain.  Thanks for everything that you've done.

ROTW team, to those of you that I got to compete against, I had a wonderful time.  All were great matches to be a part of...and you could definitely feel that competitive fire in each match.  But I think what's even better was the sportsmanship that was on display during the matches.  Most of you that play with me on a semi-regular basis know that I love to have fun and bust chops.  Everyone involved here has been awesome.

A big thank you to seveking.  The work you have done certainly doesn't go unnoticed.  I am very thankful to have had you at the helm of organization.  Thank you for all the work that you've done.

I look forward to seeing how this Cup plays out.  Go USA!

    Tess,

As always, you're so kind.  I really had 2 kick in the gut moments in the match.

Moment #1: On hole #7....I was 3 down coming in and Sun hits his teeshot to the back edge.  I hit mine 10 feet short of the hole (barely stayed on top of the plateau).  I wish you guys could have seen Sun's putt from the back edge.  It was a double breaking putt that he hit with perfect hole speed.  It died right in the middle (consequently making me feel like dying inside)  LOL.  My 10 footer had a lot of break to it....so of course I miss it about a foot right because I clicked late.  I was thinking I might cut the lead to 2....and I leave the hole down 4.

Moment #2:  Fresh off of my birdie winner on hole #10, I was 3 down and I hit my shot to the back fringe just behind the hole on #11.  So I was left with that little 5 yard chip that we've all had before.  It breaks just a little bit left.  I ended up clicking 1 pixel off....thus missing the chip.  Sun follows my miss by making a long snake of a putt....again with perfect cup speed.  So again, after hitting our approach shots to the green, I was thinking that I might walk away only being 2 down.....and again, I walk off being 4 down.

Well played to both of you and I think we can all congratulate Bart on truly demonstrating the best display of sportsmanship possible throughout this event.

It's always going to be tough when results don't go your way but Bart has always replied in the forums with an upbeat, positive demeanor and he should be thoroughly congratulated for approaching the competition with such brilliant spirit..

Sorry to have missed this match. I am out of town with limited access to wgt.

Bart, thanks for the nice words. Tough draw for you as suncity is among the best in this game!  Sounded like a thrilling match. And no need to apologize, way to battle. The rest of team USA will continue to compete to bring this cup back to US "soil."

    Let's go USA!

Looks like it was a great match, Anthony and Bart.

Great job, Sun. I know you become a sniper when the going gets tough.

And great job too, Bart. Don't be worried about your match. A couple of shots might turn a close match on or off. Anyway, TYVM for the kind words. A real gentleman full of sportsmanship.

    Leaderboard updated.

Way to go, Team World! :)
