Oh, Chipsy Chipsy Chipsy... when will you ever learn? Time to break out my vaunted "Keyboard Warrior" skills I guess.
First of all, look at WGTIcon's post... see it? See where it says
WGTicon: Now, we have thousands and thousands players playing at any given moment, so if the issue is limited to selected few and all use same software, then issue most likely is on that end.
.. and now that the rest of us aren't experiencing the same problem, guess what me-bucko... IT'S ON YOUR END.
Point #2.. Chipsy says
Chipsalot: No, you can't clean up too often to keep your computer running slim and trim and preloading the games negates waiting for every page.to reload
Really? You can't clean too often? Wow.... see, there was this guy around here, pretty fair golfer until WGT went and did something foolish like hiring him.. .Perhaps you've heard of Nivlac/WGTNiv? Would you want to read what HE wrote on the subject? You would? Oh, I would glady share.. here ya go...
WGTniv: It's actually detrimental to clear your caches repeatedly. Your cache stores elements of the game (game & course files) on your PC so they do not have to downloaded each and every time they are required. You really only want to clear your cache when we release a product update or if you are experiencing extended loading times between holes.
but you already knew that becuase you responded to his post... I guess you just didn't learn that time, either. I wonder where you learned your computer skills.... hmmmmmm....
Point #3... my golf on WGT. One computer I'm at plays golf, the other does not. One is for rounds with friends and the other sits with the forums in the background for breaks in the day. It's really sad that I have to spend my time at this thing called "employment" (big word, look it up) that doesn't allow me the time to fire off 9 10 11 rounds a day. And then on the weekends I actually get to play "outdoors" (look that one up, too) around a real golf course.
So, no, Chipsy, I'm not very good at WGT golf. I guess I'll just have to take that to my deathbed. Never can get the hang of the putting and I am unwilling to put in 6-8 hours a day to even try. My bad. But I still like to play the game, which leads me directly to...
Point #4... Ambassador for WGT? Well, thank you, I'll take it. Does it come with a compensation package? Free equipment, golf balls, avatars? I'd be honored. I can head up to Sansome Street and pick up my swag tomorrow after we finish at TPC Harding Park (That's a real golf course, google it.)
Chipsalot: It hasn't gone un-noticed that you continually side with WGT when members are making genuine complaints and in most cases attempt to put both the members and the complaints down.
No, I don't. "Genuine" complaints are given a pass. When was the first and last time you saw anything from me regarding the fringe issue? The "random" wind? The 7iron bug? etc. Honest complaints are what WGT needs to make the game better.
Whining/Whinging crybabies who get on the forums with silly, repetitive, moronic diatribes get my responses, usually. These are the complaints and complainers who need to be put down like a rabid, flea-bitten mongrel.
If you don't like my responses, Chipsy, please feel free to gloss right over them. It is kind of funny though that on this thread there were other people saying the same thing that I was, yet you still focused in on me.
I guess I'm doing it right.
Now, you have a very nice day, sir. I hope this 'war of words' wasn't too unproductive and that you might actually have learned something ... Probably not, but one can hope.
