How can you get more driving distance other than buying new clubs? Does your distance get longet as you level up ala TW PGA Tour? The clubs I'm eligible for above my current K15s have a meter speed I'm not really fond of.

Or am I stuck with what I have forever?

That is a serious disadvantage from the tips...

    Thanks

    X

Unfortunately, your distance is predicated entirely upon your clubs and how well you hit them. You don't get any boost from leveling up or by jumping tiers. If you find yourself needing some more distance, picking up a bigger stick with a faster meter is really your only option.

Sadly you don't visit the gym at every new level, you can still only hit the ball as far as the clubs can. Your only options are either distance balls or a new driver.

Well, Xan, you're about to come upon the Rapture driver that will give you another 5 yards and more precision at the same meter speed, but otherwise to drive farther you need faster clubs. (It's only fair!) Basically the Rapture clubs (the whole range)--or maybe the K15s, I don't know them--may get you to Master, but from the Master tees you will need more distance, not to mention more birdies to move up to higher tiers = more precision than you have with the K15s.

Let me strongly second Zag. My R11 10.5 has been my baby for a long time. Just an incredible club. But, once I hit Master, some holes became flat unplayable, particularly long par 4s with elevated greens. Unless you plan on sandbagging forever, you are going to need to get used to the faster meter eventually.

The only way you will have sucess on this game is to get used to faster meters with better clubs. However, you can get golf balls that slow down the meter, like the callaway balls.

You could try experimenting with the top spin back spin on your drives.

Pay attention also to what side of the fairway is bumpy and or flat to give you a few extra yards.

Shortening up the course by placing the ball on the right or left side of the fairway closest to the hole will help sometimes also.

Playing a slight hook or slice to go in the same direction as the wind will buy a few yards also

Devon is right.  The balls will help to slow down the meter a little but you will have to get used to faster meter speeds if you want to get longer off the tee and with your iron shots.  The Rapture clubs are sort of a hybrid, slow meter and more distance but not near enough distance and the irons don't go nearly high enough when you hit master and / or legend.  If you want to enjoy the game without the investment in balls and clubs moving out of the pro ranks will be frustrating for you.

i am new at this-i still don't understand-my driver says it only goes 225 yards

at full swing. On a par four of over 460 yards, how do i reach the green in

regulation golf of two strokes. you talk about picking up a bigger stick-how do

    I do that?

Chi Chi Rodriquiz did the folling in a skills tournament many years ago.

Stood on the tee and announced to the crowd he was going to show them all how to gain 5 yards off the tee.

He tees the ball up and smacks it, then took 5 big strides backwards.
