Overall I am ecstatic with the Rapture Irons.  However, even after reading several blog posts with regards to the 7-iron there is still an issue in regards to carry with a strong tail wind.  Question, what would one expect the carry for the Rapture 7-iron with a 17 mph tail wind.  I essentially get the same amount of carry no matter what tail wind I am experiencing.

Editing the original blog, the 7-iron appears to be fine now.

I verified what you've noticed on the fairway at hole #1 Kiawah just now.

    17mph tailwind 7I carry is 134 yds.

4mph ~90 degree cross wind 7I carry is 134 yds.

However this doesn't hold true for a Rapture 7I from the tee to a -7ft elev green (14 @ BPB).

    17mph tailwind 7I carry is 148 yds.

    0 tailwind 7I carry is 140 yds.

Using a GI-D ball btw and on or real close to center line hits.

    You're actual mileage may vary.....

I avoid my 7I in the fairway if possible.

I use my 7-iron when it is necessary, and I don't avoid it.  As I said later in my post it appears to be fine now.  Momentary glitch, who knows.  But, perhaps it is a nuance of the club in question, all the other irons are very well behaved.
