  Strange match it was, i came out on fire making birds while lee was all over the place, with meter issues too.

  I was 7up after F9 then Lee birdied every hole on B9 to take the match to 17.

   

  GG Lee, glad you didnt play that way on the F9 ;)

   

   

  strange match indeed, my meter was just horrible on the front 9 stuttering on nearly every shot, didnt hit a ding till my drive on 8, was glad i wasnt getting the elusive 10&8 at that point. All seemd to sort its self out after the birdie putt fell on 10, then that was probably the best ive ever played the back 9, -8 for the next 8. Still not good enough tho. I'm just glad to have made some sort of a comeback.

  Very well played Kriz and the very best of luck in the next rounds. Was a pleasure as always to play with you. TYVM for the game.

    Very tough match with a fellow Deviant,  Lvietri.  I got 2DN early, got within 1 a couple times just to give it back. Finally got to AS on 15, then it was just a slugfest. Both just missed birds on 16, Lou wins 17, I win 18 to go to extras.

   2 nice birds on the first, twin putts on the 2nd for twin misses, and an unfortunate meter on Lou's par putt on the 3rd. Very hard way to lose a terrific match. But.. there IS a wee bright side, Lou..... I've never made it out of round 1before, so you broke my cherry :)

  I forgot to take s-shot.

  Was an enjoyable match with Steven.

  match was even form start to finish , I went 1up after the 3rd , Steven bought it back to AS with bird on 8th. 9th 10th 11th 12th 13th 14th where all halved , 15th I hit a nice shot in to 4.5ft Steven found the bunker & made bog , I went 1up 16th a great putt from Steven to save the halve , 17th I hit it 8,5ft & Stevens putt from behind the hole hit the edge.

  Well played Steven enjoyed the match

  Had a good match with sunshinewilly. It was filled with birdies and my putter was serving me well early on and i got 1up lead. Ssw pulled it back level with a good birdie on 9 but i went on to win the 1st playoff hole.

  JCOlson defeats gotstewart 2 & 1. May have been a different story had half of the cruel lipouts fallen for him. It was just bethpage and wgt being mean. I felt bad for him. Great guy though and good match.

  Just wanted to post and say that Bartmania and myself are doing our best to schedule our first round match. Unfortunately, we are on completely opposite wgt schedules but will get our match completed ASAP.

  It was a very good game.  JC made very few mistakes and the ones he made I couldnt capitalize on.  I took a week sabbatical from wgt so I could deer hunt.  I was hoping while I was gone vem would forget about me.  Nope. I had at least 4 dying at the hole lipouts and a couple more edgeburners.  Sorry JC  I had hoped to make it a more entertaining game.

  Finished my match with one of the most complete gentlemen of this game, jeffdos825.  After a slow start, I got very hot and pulled away from Jeff as I got the breaks and everything went against him. Always great playing with you Jeff! Cheers...

   Fun match with JC, in spite of the beating.

   I started out with a great first hole... and that was pretty much all the great that I had in me...lol. No.. after a terrible tee shot on #2 that bounced of the cart path left the hole and behind the trees, I had an amazing 2nd shot, leaving about 3 feet for the par save.

   JC just missed his putt on #1, came up a couple inches short on #2, lipped out bad on #3, then he caught fire. That 5-hole stretch from the 4th to the 8th holes was more than enough to be comfortable with. I just couldn't seem to get the ball in the hole... missing close, but missing at all is a bad plan against JC, especially this morning.
