Yes, I agree there should be a mobile forum.

Nevertheless, the overwhelming majority of tips that work for computer players apply to the mobile platform as well.

Personally I don't see the need for a mobile forum. I would say that fully 95% of all tips given on here will work on the web game and mobile game. Many of the web players are like me in that we play both platforms so what they say usually will work on both platforms. About the only thing on the web game that doesn't apply to the mobile game is avatar movements as there are no avatar movements in the mobile game, But putter pal and shot pal take care of that.

If you don't see a tip for what you need just ask. Many of us are more than willing to help.

I used to agree that a separate mobile forum wasn't necessary. But it's no longer just about playing or about tips. The two platforms are quite different and (seemingly) becoming more different all the time.

A separate mobile forum could better deal with those differences because posters would know that the question refers to the mobile platform. For example, there have been glitches that only affect mobile. Or there have been questions people have asked that are unique to coin games (for example, not knowing the speed of the greens when a match starts).

Unless a person knew they were referring to the mobile platform, they wouldn't completely understand the question or the issue being raised. And the above doesn't even touch on the coin gear or apparel stuff.

With the uniqueness of the mobile platform, I think it's time for a mobile forum.

Try asking your questions about mobile on the WGT Golf Facebook page. You will have to join to ask.

It's 90% mobile players. Heres the link:

LOL Don, I'm one of the both category. I do both for the fun of it and learning the quirks of the mobil has been an adventure!! I am also on the FB page as well, thanks for setting that up! Tony Rickman :)

I see three reasons for "no mobile forum":

    - it's an effort (probably) without reasonable revenue,

    - it may be difficult (and prone to programming errors) due to the forum software's age,

    - for mobile users, it's difficult to access the forums and to get a permission to write here.

A separate facebook forum may be fitting better.

Yes, it wouldn't be a revenue stream for them. But neither are the other forums. Still, it should not be that difficult to create.

They would just need to create a child forum under one of current categories such as "Welcome to WGT." Additionally, it's not that difficult to access the forums through the mobile. Indeed, one can simply, for example, use Safari (for iOS). A person needs to simply bookmark the forum.

Moreover, even if people find it difficult, they can just get on their regular laptop or desktop computer and post to the forum through any browser. They're doing that already.

The facebook forum is problematic. The person would be revealing who they are. It's not really conducive to threaded discussions. And it would look some basic items that people expect in discussion fora (such as the ability to quote previous posters).
