  That's what I was looking for. Tx.  I think the choke/missed ding is the key but I could be all wet. If you see that again try maxing the 7i with top spin. That way you can take a full swing and not have to estimate. Short on that hole is not a bad thing.

  I think each club / ball combination a player choose's will effect all of there shots in a certain way.  My choice is the GISD ball over the Callaway and  when using that ball with the Ping G10 Master set full backspin typically equals a yardage reduction of 4% (or a yardage increase of 4% when using full topspin roll). By manipulating that spin you have yet another way of fine tuning your approach distance depending on the other forces that are effecting the shot your playing.
