    Hi everyone,

Here are the release notes for last night's update:

    NEW

    First Ever Virtual U.S. Amateur

Compete in the first ever Virtual U.S. Amateur, starting Aug 1!

In continued collaboration with USGA, we're hosting a special new tournament, featuring a qualifying round (similar to the Virtual U.S. Open that you already know and love), followed by an all-new Championship Bracket round for the top leaderboard finishers.

The Virtual U.S. Amateur Qualifier begins Aug 1, where you can compete to post your best score. The top 32 scores will qualify and be placed into two 16-player brackets for the Championship round. These qualifiers will compete head-to-head until there are two finalists remaining, who will get a trip to Topgolf Atlanta where they will compete in a live head-to-head match for the grand prize and title of the first Virtual U.S. Amateur Champion.

    Supporting Make-A-Wish® and Wish Month

We're celebrating "Wish Month" this month in support of Make-A-Wish with all new golf balls and ball effects, featuring a blue, starry vapor trail!

You can help Make-A-Wish grant more wishes by purchasing these limited edition items throughout August. WGT will donate $1 for every sleeve of these virtual golf balls or set of ball effects sold.

Buy Make-A-Wish Balls and Ball Effects

To learn more about WGT and Topgolf's partnership with Make-A-Wish®, please visit: http://topgolf.com/wish

*$1 from every sleeve of Make-A-Wish virtual golf balls or set of ball effects purchased will be donated to Make-A-Wish® to help make more wishes possible, up to $10,000.

    August Virtual Tour Tournament

Compete in the Best of Par 5 Challenge tournament this month as part of the 2018 WGT Virtual Tour and post your first round score by 8/26 to qualify for the final round.

The top 70 combined scores in each Pro-Champion tier splitting the total purse prize of 100,000 WGT Credits, plus the winning players in each Pro-Champion tier will display a new "reigning champion" icon next to their player name through the following month.

I too like the "make a wish" addition,- however, in my opinion you made a mistake to introduce a ball for this. Most people, inkling me, won't like to change the ball attributes, particularly as the ball on offer isn't very good. I suggest to sell an add-on vapor trail for the Make a wish charity. this way, everyone can easily add it, has no excuse not to and does not need to change the ball to do some good ... do consider that!

There's a make a wish ball effect you can buy too so I'd say they considered that already and made available a way for people to donate to the cause but yet still play there own ball.

Will there be a 1-32 seeding for the bracket tournaments or is it irrelevant where exactly you finish in the qualifying round?

Are there any ineligible countries or states (U.S.) for this tourney?

If yes, will they be able to enter it and play?

If yes, what if they are among the top 32, will they be placed in the bracket?

If yes, what happens if one (or both) ineligible playeys end up in final (ATL round)?

Just curious. I'm having flashbacks to that Orlando and live play debacle several years back, that ended up being canceled.

Depending on who ends up in the final in ATL, I may drop in and watch. Maybe even get Paul to pick up the tab :-)

I assume there's some rules posted somewhere, and when I have time I'll check. For now, I was hoping for the quick WGT answer.

I wonder if anyone from WGT will answer this at all, or wait until late in the qualifying round (answering now in a negative may reduce the play/balls of those grinders if they know it's a waste of time).
