How is the average score calculated?

  I have been trying to figure out what the formula is for calculating average score. It appears that it is not as simple as the mean of your 10 best rounds within your current tier, or your 15 best...  It must be some sort of weighted average, because I've been playing with the numbers in an excel spreadsheet and nothing seems to match.

  It is a true average until you reach the saturation point in your tier.

  Once a certain number of games is reached ( let's call it 50 ) your average will then be the best 50 rounds you have played.

  You keep bumping out higher scores, that is why it keeps going down.

  The saturation point is different for each tier as well.
